Protip: Things can't assimilate you if your blood is over 80 proof.

But hey, It's not like I'm even more likely to be our last flamer after another turn or anything. Let's just go on pretending that's not a possibility.

Righto.

You tie Sharkey up and cut him open. While he transforms into a writhing mass of tentacles, whirling madly, desperately, the hunger in his thousands of eyes gleaming like heat from dying suns, you begin the process of testing the blood sample.

You slowly lower the wire. Sharkey grows ten new limbs in the background.

"IS HE A THING I JUST DON'T KNOW" says Kazz.

The tension mounts. Grath shrieks and faints. Sharkey begins to enfold in on himself, transforming into a yet more horrific form of flesh, teeth, and screaming horror.

The wire hits the blood.

Nothing happens.

"Whew," says Kayma. "We're safe."

"Wait, wait," says Kazz. "That was a batch of Newbie's old blood. Uh oh. Looks like we need another sample from Sharkey."

You turn to the monstrosity tied to the couch, who is currently consuming nearby cadavers, adding their biomass to his own.

"Now now," says Laser. "Don't fret. If you're human you've got nothing to worry about."

"Hold still a bit," says gahitsu, holding out a scalpel. "I just need another sample."

"I think this joke has gone on for long enough!" announces Kazz, standing over the station's gaming console. "Wii is a stupid name and it sounds like the word for urine."

(Sharkey is a Thing.)

I'll be extending the day 24 more hours, starting now.

I think we should still entertain the possibility that I'm not actually a thing. Because logic.

Sharkey is dragged, kicking and screaming, into the gigantic meat grinder that suddenly appeared outside your camp.

"Die, Sharkey! You don't belong in this world!" says Kazz.

"It was not by -- oh fuck it just push me in," Sharkey says.

You push him in.

Sharkey was a Thing.

I still don't think I was ever a thing. Those last two tests were just thing propaganda.

I'm declaring a new do-over rule, and I vote that we test Friday.

Drums, drums in the deep Screams, screams in the night. You rush to the scene.

Yuri/Leaf/Teacher/Caithness/Nyarlathotep, the horror with a thousands forms and names is found doing three things:

1. Being messily assimilated
2. Being messily melted down by flames
3. changing his username

The new day dawns.

5 players stand.

Grath
gahitsu
Kazz
Kayma
LaserBeing

8 players stood.

Newbie - Human
Friend - Human Dynamite
Mothra - Human Dynamite
Frocto - Thing
ocksi - Thing, Doctor
Niku - Thing
Sharkey - Thing
Leaf - Human, was being assimilated

It is now Day 6. With 5 players left, it takes 3 votes to kill. Grath has the wire.

I have some ideas on who to test, but I'd like to hear people's suggestions first.
