This game is for 9 players. You are all members of the Un-American Activities Committee. One of you is Senator Joe McCarthy, and your role is publicly known. Some of the rest of the players are Communists. The number of Communists is not known, and each Communist may or may not know who any of the others are.

Each day you vote to kick one person off the committee. Day ends when everyone has cast their vote. Joe only votes in case of a tie. The Communists don't kill anyone, so there is no night phase and the next day begins as soon as the blacklisted member's role is revealed.

The game ends when Joe McCarthy is voted off, or when he's the only player remaining. Whichever faction is in the majority at that point wins.

Is it possible for McCarthy to be a communist? If not, you might as well call it for the commies when he's ousted.

The only way McCarthy's going to survive until the end of the game is if the last other-person recuses himself.

There's no recusing, but you can vote for yourself. McCarthy cannot be a communist.

If they can get enough votes together to oust him. The number of commies who know who each other are will not be enough at the beginning of the game.
