Having updated my LP, I noticed the reply box does it too. This seems to be the only site that happens on.

I'm... getting the flickering thing too. No idea what's causing it.

Will investigate when I get time which is pretty much never apparently! I think I'll have some time early August.

Okay, just an update: I still have zero time but I think that might change after Wednesday this week. Prioritizing the flickering bug and getting a mobile theme working.

Worth noting: Subsilver 2 appears to have no issues on mobile (from a sample size of "it worked fine on my tablet this morning when I wanted to delay getting out of bed and there were unread posts, so I swapped themes to see if it'd stop derping")

As much as I don't want to believe it, the flickering bug is veeery likely caused by the background image. It only seems to show up a ways down a long thread, leading me to wonder if it's the repeating image constantly jumping around for some reason or other.

Bleh.

Still really strapped for time, but I think I'll be able to take a look at this tonight.

How easy is it to copy-pasta themes? If you could make a "Brontotheme-Backgroundless" or something by copy-pasting the normal Brontotheme and then removing the background image easily (ideally that should be a matter of, like, <5 minutes, if the software is reasonable about this shit) and then yell at those of us with devices that hate the normal Brontotheme to check it on whatever devices, that'd be an easy way to see if that's actually the cause of it.

I don't often have image loading turned on when using my phone, and I don't often check the forums from a computer, but since I am right now I just thought I'd comment on how "WHOA DANG" is still great.

Which reminds me: god damn I wish portable browsers came with debuggers.

Not a lot of UI space for getting shit done if it involved stuff like Chrome/Fx dev tools.

Seems they even make it a pain in the ass to view source.

edit: forgot the e in "Chrome"

Plenty on a 10" tablet.

(Technically there's a debugger for iOS Safari, but you need a Mac handy.)

I've gotten started, but there aren't a ton of options for phpbb3 when it comes to mobile, apparently.

Most promising at the moment looks to be Vermillion, but I can't seem to figure out if it can handle videos and images even remotely well. The fact that the demo doesn't show them at all is worrying.

Others, with potential:

Coralis - (Click the mobile icon at the top right) - Nice, but it's cluttered with a ton of crap at the top I'm not sure I can cleanly remove.

BBoots - Same issue as Coralis.

Regular Prosolver_Mobile - Plain, but clean and functional.

Metro, though I'd have to shave a lot off the top.

Air - Kinda plain, but nice.

Hadron is pretty ideal, but it's 50 dollars. It's REALLY ideal.

Still looking.

I don't put paid shit on this board as a matter of principle, but... how ideal?

I'll look into it further, and if it's like seriously the only decent theme, I could maybe see myself splitting the cost. For one, it actually needs to be capable of displaying images and video without cutting everything off. Plus, not yet sure how customizable it is.

Feeling pretty good about using Elegance as a base. Thoughts?

I know the first two things people are going to ask are

1.Does it display avatars?
2.Are they on the left?

So far Coralis is the only one where the answer seems to be "yes" to both, but maybe the others just have crappy demos.

While I agree that Coralis is a little thick, it does do a lot of other stuff right correctly scaling YouTube embeds too.

I like Coralis too.

I guess my main hangup on that theme is that it's slightly cluttered at the top, and it's missing the all-important View Unread Posts button.

Almost positive I could fix both of those, though.

I'm good with Coralis if others are.

Am I missing something or having low standards? Coralis doesn't look to have much top clutter from my phone.
