idk why, but for some reason the whole site (not just these boards) were set to an older version of PHP which didn't know how to talk to the DB. ??? anyway, changing the version of php seems to have resolved the issue.

The signature editing page is messed up. I've tried to insert a halloweeny image in my signature, but I just get this error message:

It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct.

This followed a discussion about following or consuming the artwork of artists who are morally vile.

<Juice> So every time I hear a great new song by a small artist, I should go look through their life's story?

<Mongrel> Is that a new version of "Netflix and chill"?

I was unable to access Bronto most of the day. Dunno if it was just me or everyone. Gave some PHP error that I didn't bother looking up or writing down because I'm terrible at stuff.

I really needed a lazy day off this weekend, I can't begrudge the board software needing the same.

Gonna assume Lady fixed this, cause I didn't know what to do in the slightest.

She said it either fixed itself or it was you, SO.

Unrelated to the downtime, and maybe this should be the Missing Brontos thread, but Friday mentioning interest in FFXIV has breathed new life into the boards. I haven't seen so many new posts not all by Mongrel in forever.

This is Thad erasure and I won't stand for it! (Because I'm sitting. I'm in a chair. I'm seated.)

Wait, am I doing the erasure, or am I the one being erased in this scenario?
