Or possibly just restrict everyone to Spambot Thunderdome until they get approved by an admin?

Fuck it, admin approval it is. It's not like anybody new has signed up in a year.

I have been informed that Mr RollandTinc, the robot whom I was corresponding with yesterday, was not actually writing in Hylian, but was in fact using a real language.

I apologize to my Korean friends for confusing their beautiful language with a made-up fantasy language. As they say in Korea: Perdóname.

Uh, Admin-approve only does not appear to be stopping the flow.

Unless WalterLync registered a while back and just hadn't started posting 'till now?

EDIT: Yep. Registered Sunday. Maybe we ought to just mass-ban all accounts registered in the past month?

First they came for the spambots, and I did not speak up, for I am not a spambot.

Yeah, when I get time, I'm gonna have to go through the list of newly registered folks' and delete the spambots.

Slammed at work right now, but soon hopefully.

Alright, slogged through the Registered Users and Spambot groups, searching IP's/emails and IP banning the obvious spambots. Deleted almost all of the accounts, but I saved a few of the more memorable Thunderdome denizens.

They will not know the sweet release of death.

I think you missed one - there's some 'Printer Jiro' weirdo that nobody recognizes, and they've gotta be a spambot because their username is talking about printers so they're probably advertising cheap offbrand ink.

One of these days Printer Jiro is going to reveal the expansive long-con that was befriending a community, gaining our trust and companionship, and exploiting it all to sell ink cartridges through a Hungarian domain that does not accept USD currency.

It'll be Moxie Lite all over again.
