I'm going to make a multiplayer co-op game where your only method of attack is throwing other players.

A couple of guys at work picked up Space Engineers via the latest Humble Bundle and I went ahead and bit too. I'd like to say "I'm willing to set up a dedicated server on Bronto if there's enough interest" but of course the server software is another Windows-based horror show.
Hmph.

Some good Worms deals in the Humble Store, too, including a buck-fifty off the new remake of World Party. And for $5 you can get the PC version of Worms Reloaded with the Android version of Armageddon.

Devolver Digital, maybe the greatest modern publisher, is having a weekend deal with deep sales on some great shit. Highlights include a ton of Serious Sam, the Talos Principle and it's DLC, and both Hotline Miamis.
Kalypso is also having a big sale over the weekend. They publish a shitload of strategy games, but a bunch of other good stuff too. If you've never played Tropico and you like city builds I suggest Tropico 4 if you want a very focused Cold War setting, or Tropico 5 if moving through history from colony to post soviet banana republic is more your thing.

Permanent 2DS price drop coming on August 30; new systems will cost $100 and come with a Mario Kart 7 download.
If you don't have a 3DS yet, this is a great price, and I really like my 2DS and don't feel like I'm missing out on much that I would get from one of the pricier models.
A Link Between Worlds and Ultimate NES Remix are two of the best games I've played in years. Fire Emblem and Super Mario 3D Land are solid too, and I'm currently enjoying the Majora's Mask remake.
It won't play Xenosaga, so don't get it if that's a game you want to play. But it's a cheap system with a shitload of really good games, so I recommend that anybody who's got the cash to spare pick one up.

The Humble Store has Shadowrun Returns for $2 for the next 5 hours.
On the one hand, I've got more games than I know what to do with. On the other hand, it's two bucks.

Hmmmmm....
EDIT: Picked it up. Also, Humble has Shadowrun Dragonfall as well for $4 for the next 8 hours. How does it compare? Do you want one if you get the other? Are they just set in the same world or does one actually continue the storyline of the other?
EDIT: Ah grabbed Dragonfall anyway.

Also, you can choose your own charity now. Hero Initiative and Comic Book Legal Defense Fund are both options; I checked.
Re: Hot game deals
There's a pretty great package deal on The Secret World for the next day or so. It happens to be just about the only MMO I give half a shit about since CoH shut down, and it's definitely an odd enough duck to be worth checking out. It's about as close as you're ever going to get to a Stephen King/World of Darkness/X-Files crossover MMO, and honestly worth it for the solo experience. Even better, its first setting is essentially the island I grew up on, except with slightly more zombies and Cthulhus.
Re: Hot game deals
It's especially fun with a friend since I'm not smart enough to figure out half of the puzzles on my own and I need someone to snap me out of the coma I slip into whenever the game wants me to use it's boring combat for a quest.
Re: Hot game deals
GOG fall sale is on.
USG has a rundown of the day 1 deals.
It's...mostly a bunch of stuff that GOG has deals on all the time. But, y'know, if you still haven't picked up the original Fallout games, or The Witcher series, or what have you, now is yet another chance to do that for cheap.

Re: Hot game deals
And now The Humble Store has a big sale on.
The Square Enix sale is almost entirely Eidos. There's some great shit in there, but I was hoping I could snag Type-O for cheap or something.
GOG's sale is wrapping up too; still some good deals there.

Re: Hot game deals
Well, if you've been waiting for a sale before you get Witcher 3, there's one on now; you can get it for $30 at GOG. That doesn't include the expansions, but it's a massive game even without them.
Might wanna check the system requirements, though; I wound up getting a new graphics card just to play it.
(Though, granted, it might have worked with my old card if my CPU hadn't been overheating.)
