That Tempest rush set is pretty clever. Pretty sure I'd get bored running that in circles, though.

Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
So Patch 2.6 came out, and with it, the Necromancer 15 dollar pack.
For your money you'll get: The Necromancer, two more stash tabs, and a bunch of stupid crap like pets and portrait and who cares.
Anyway, the necro is pretty fun, and by far the most powerful class (the top build, Trag'oul Corpse Lance, is about 7 Greater Rifts above everything else) so it's "worth" your money.
But really the big news is the upcoming patch, 2.6.1, which I assume will be released at the start of the upcoming season, so two months.
Reading the patch notes makes you think Blizzard has lost its mind. Insane damage bonuses to all sorts of legendaries, sets, etc. For example, a staff that used to just cut the Spirit cost of Wave of Light by 50% now also increases the damage of Wave of Light by 500%. That's a sextuple damage increase!
Other builds are getting similar buffs, across all classes. Power creep!!!!!! you say, one hand on your dick like always. But a careful, closer inspection reveals otherwise.
All the builds/specs that are getting these huge damage increases are out of date/out of favor/low tier builds. What Blizzard is doing is trying to bring almost -everything- up to par with the top Trag'oul Corpse Lance build. They're not succeeding 100% of course, but the net result is that there's going to be a lot more variety in what builds you can play. They hardly or didn't at all touch any of the top builds, so there's no real "power creep", at least in terms of what Greater Rift level can be pushed.
In any case, if you've been one of those people who sort of kind of wanted to play Diablo 3 but never did because of all the problems its had over the years, I'd say wait two more months or so and then try it out. With all the new UI and Quality of Life changes (materials no longer take up inventory space, etc) Diablo is, (or will be in two months) the best game it's ever been.
There's no 15 bucks required, either. While the necro is fun, you can partake in all the new, buffed builds without spending any money if you already have the game.

I think I would need surgery or a cybernetic arm before I can ever play Diablo again.

If you need any help leveling anything in Hardcore Seasonal I can get you to level 70 in like 10 minutes so you can start gearing/pushing.

I used hotkeys for attacks eventually, but even that's too much. That's just the way the game is. Eh, *shrug*

Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
I will never play diablo without a controller again.
Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of Path of Exile's 3.0 patch landing with a weight to shatter the Earth
Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
That's fair. I've never played it, but everything I've ever heard about Path of Exile has been "like Diablo, but without all the bullshit", so.
I guess ignore my previous post and instead play Path of Exile if you want some clickly clicky loot loot gaming.

Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
I was really just referencing that in the same month the Necro comes out for 15 dollars, PoE adds 6 ACTS to their game for free, and kind of reshapes the classic structure of Diablo-like games. Blizzard needs to put out something more substantial for me at this point.
Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
substantial huh
how about loot crates
how about loot crates
Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
They should just release an expansion where they finally explain how Diablo ties in to the Overwatch universe.
Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
said expansion is called heroes of the storm
Re: Diablo: What fresh hell is this?
Tracer keeps getting headshots but only crits 5.5% of them
