Keurig to use "DRM pods" to lock out other coffee pod manufacturers.

The plan was confirmed by Keurig's CEO who stated on a recent earnings call that the new maker indeed won't work with "unlicensed" pods as part of an effort to deliver "game-changing performance."

oh my god

Imagine if some linguistics overlord tried to implement licensing on loanwords.

What surprises me the most is that this sort of thing doesn't happen more often.

He just held the Master Sword out in front of him and the enemy walked into it. Is he from Link to the Past?

Might want to put an NSFW tag on that.

If any word can be a trigger, then it doesn't matter how carefully I choose them. I just used nineteen potential triggers before the word "nineteen" in this sentence.

That looks like the kind of a thing someone would make to justify their apathy and lack of empathy and make fun of people who are suffering.

A part of me wonders whether the use of the word "trigger" there was deliberate prodding. The whole premise, that bullies possess no self-control or reason and are simply forces of nature that must be stepped around, is just so bafflingly obtuse. It doesn't seem like an opinion that can evolve naturally - it seems like a deliberate choice someone has made that fuck kids who don't mesh perfectly with expectations, if they're bullied then THEY did something wrong. It's ... well, I already said baffling, but that. Baffling.

It's also a little odd that the article is presented in ThinkProgress's LGBT category.

It's not an ideal opinion, it's the opinion of a severely underfunded staff who have a responsibility to protect its students and cannot possibly hope to if it allows outspoken behaviors like this.

We as a society can no longer afford freedom.
