For some reason the lyrics to this song fall into an uncanny valley for me, where they're close enough to being sensical that it frustrates me by actually being nonsense. Still beautiful.



And I just realized just how incredibly Florence & The Machine this song is.

Not a particularly unique idea, but interestingly-executed. They're going out of their way to add more weird instruments that they really need to, strictly speaking. As a cover, it works though.

The final countdown on the Zappa Kickstarter. As I understand it they're going to leave it up after it's done (though I may have to change the URL).

(ETA: they've got the whole thing up on Kickstarter now but it's backers-only.)

I missed the first two hours but what I've caught so far is amazing. As I'm posting this they're listening to a series of unreleased tracks that they're pretty sure were intended to be the soundtrack for The Fly but wound up not being used.
