Voted today! Early voting in MA made it a lot easier than I was expecting. Just showed up at city hall, went through bag check, stood in line for 45 minutes, and bam, it's done.

Woman behind me was a diehard Jill Stein supporter, who I talked to about basically everything about till we arrived. Seemed nice enough, but she had some outlandish ideas about how the entire voting process was rigged, how the government is secretly behind every bad thing, etc. I managed to drive around those points, and ended up not arguing about anything.

I was thinking about this yesterday. I certainly hope that if Trump is elected, that he has to contend with an opposition Senate.

So based on Clinton's recent poll drop, a few Democrats I know have gone into full C3PO mode. Apparently this is an experience shared by lots of people, because somebody made these:

Also, "Burn it all down" is just good advice in general when it comes to Michigan.

I really want to believe that it was an operative trying to make Trump supporters look bad, that nobody can be so cartoonishly evil. But damn, did they ever make that virtually impossible to believe over the course of this election/suicide pact.

So I heard from Twitter that Giuliani admitted that the Trump campaign knew about the FBI's stuff this week in advance?

Here's the NYT article on it.

Could just be Giuliani being an idiot, but if that's true, hoo boy.

Yeah, the double standard here his fucking incredible. If the shoe was on the other foot and Clinton's advisor were to publically admit that the FBI has been leaking details of an investigation of the opposition to their campaign before even obtaining a warrant... jesus wept. Everyone would be having a fucking meltdown. But apparently half the country thinks that mismanaging an email server in a basically non-remarkable way is justification for voting for Biff fucking Tannen, so... yeah.

Fuck it.

I mean would that not violate election law? I mean, there is NO WAY this doesn't violate SOMETHING. But I bet nobody ever gets arrested!

At the very least it throws out pretty much everything anyone at the FBI has said about the investigation, rewriting the whole story of the last few months, and the only question is how high does the rot go. Either Comey's dumb enough to listen to subordinates who're secretly shilling for Trump or he is a shill himself. He seems stupid as fuck, and the former would explain a lot, but the former isn't impossible now, I guess.

George R. R. Martin lays out why Trump shouldn't be voted for.

If anyone knows about shitty political leaders, he would.

Well, it'd be a crystal clear violation of the Hatch act, if nothing else. And if the time frame indicated in Ghoul's interview counts as testimony it'd mean that the FBI accessed Weiner's girlfriend's laptop (and relayed information about its contents) without obtaining a warrant, which would render any evidence they might find inadmissible.

So yeah, this is a monumental fuck up. Which will probably be headed off by a surrogate saying that Giuliani wasn't speaking literally or some such horseshit. Cus that's the waAAay the news goes.

Also, autocorrect is basically right when it tries to spell Giuliani.
