Do any of you guys work on the "Guild Ball" miniatures game in some capacity? (it's a Blood Bowl analogue)

Because I was looking though their minis catalogue, and I saw that the third figure on the Brewer's team is a blonde named Friday.

Apparently she also has a cat named "Scum".

The stereotypical orange that buddhist monks that wear is only for 'city monks'.

There are also forest monks who wear brown and lady monks who wear white.

I've seen the brown before and just assumed it was more "casual". I didn't realize they were actually subdivided like mobs for different zones in a video game.

There is a Buddhist temple near where I used to work. It's right across the street from a strip club and Value Village.

If memory serves, didn't he have a massive heart attack or stroke on the day Obama got elected the first time?

Had no pulse; Wikipedia notes he got a transplant from an anonymous donor over a year after that article. But as we're living in a post-fact world, I'll happily maintain that his heart remains motionless, save for the moments when he sucks the vital organs from a Syrian orphan every three days.

Considering that Obama was compared to Hitler less than a week after the election, I wouldn't be surprised in the least.

You can type many legitimate job titles into the Canadian National Occupation Code database without finding them.

But you can enter "Cult Leader" and get a search hit (5254 - Program Administrators and Directors)

Huh, Scientology must have a lot of influence in Canada then.

Oh man, for years they used to have a huge office right in downtown Toronto and about a year ago I saw it was shuttered and boarded up and I was so gleeful, you have no idea.

Carl Sagan never said "billions and billions", and this actually came from Johnny Carson.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billions_and_Billions

Wikipedia wrote:To help viewers of Cosmos distinguish between "millions" and "billions", Sagan stressed the "b". Sagan never did, however, say "billions and billions". The public's association of the phrase and Sagan came from a Tonight Show skit. Parodying Sagan's affect, Johnny Carson quipped "billions and billions".[2] The phrase has however, now become a humorous fictitious number—the Sagan.

The skit ain't bad!

Last November, Spain's government briefly floated the idea of banning memes.

That was received about as well as might be imagined.
