Game of Thrones: The TV Show
Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show
Having Sansa doing a little more politicking about Wintefell would have been nice, prodding Royce into finally going 'Fuck it' and telling LF to piss off would have been nice.
Cersei nails certain scenes such as her 'I shit myself' face when the wight charged. Qyburn no doubt was full mast under those robes when he picked up the arm.
I guess a longer season might have thrown in some more cat and mouse in Wintefell such as LF actually being able to make a case and tossing in doubt.
"He has seen this? Well I have seen Dorathaki advancing on The Eyrie, I have seen a Faceless Man kill Arya and take her place to sow chaos here. If these visions are wrong than Bran's can be wrong as well'
Plus didn't Sansa cover for LF when he kicked whatsherface out the Moon Door? She was complacent

Yeah, would've loved to see more spy games with Littlefinger. Felt a little cheated at the end.

The real question we should be asking is "But what did Thad's dog think?"
Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show
I dunno, she doesn't really watch this show anymore. She's more into MST3K now.

Season 8 Episode 1 definitely feels like an HBO show that isn't bound by a book. Mostly it was just really rushed and kind of dumb, which could mean it will just be an action packed season with constant developments, but feels more like they're getting the stuff we know has to happen out of the way so they can completely do their own thing. Two points of note:
The conversation between Daenerys and Sam is the most inhumanly awkward exchange to ever be portrayed, and not in a good way.
Please save that CGI dragon chase scene budget for something that's enjoyable, or at least looks good.

Episode 2:
Given how happy everyone's being, I'm guessing 2/3rds of the cast will be dead at the end of episode 3. Grey Worm is extra doomed because he started planning for the future.

Well time to go to the crypt. Head to the crypt it will be safe there. Go to the crypt and protect the others. Head to the crypt for your own safety.
Gee, I wonder what will happen with the crypt.
Nah, just worrying too much. Gotta make my retirement plans about my new boat 'Live 4 Ever'

Well that went well considering every strategic decision was as stupid as it possibly could.

Especially since everything was pitch black.

Little more worried about what comes next. Surely she didn't manage to get an elephant or anything.

DM: jon go kill the night king
JON SNOW: no i wanna stab the dragon
DM: goddamnit jon i'm trying to do a thing here
JON SNOW: i yell at the dragon
ARYA: i jump at the king
DM: what? no he grabs you
ARYA: check my feats and weep i get an opportunity attack when grabbed
DM: ... goddamnit. fine
also, my theory is that the Dothraki all died because Jorah forgot to tell them to put their swords back down.

The Final Boss of Game of Thrones is just going to be Cersei riding an elephant and then Bran WALKS up to her all dramatic, and he says "In the Game of Thrones, you win... OR YOU DIE" and he pulls out a Glock and shoots her in the head and then turns to the camera and says "And now to jerk off endlessly because I can literally watch all the sex there ever was"

Haven't seen it yet, but had this unexpected cameo spoiled.

Re: Game of Thrones: The TV Show
I can understand "everything that happened was necessary so we could all be here" coming from Bran since he's basically unhinged from existence.
From Sansa, not so much.
