Seconded, on Chrome. Seems like a TA-side issue so far.

... so, seriously, did anything change on the boards? Did the plugin change? Because it works on Chrome but not Firefox, and literally nothing about Firefox changed from when it did work.

Nothing changed on the boards that I can tell. The twitter embed seems to be working for everyone else.

Lady, did anything change on the back-end maybe?

I'm having issues with Tweet rendering now too. (I see the text but not all the formatting; it would appear the JS isn't running. I'm running NoScript, but all scripts are enabled on the page.) I'm on Firefox 52.5.3 ESR.

I managed to figure it out, apparently something turned on tracking protection somehow and that breaks tweet embeds. Turning it off specifically for brontoforum.us gets them working again.

Only trackers I'm seeing listed by Privacy Badger are corporate-sellout.com (which I can confirm is not actually running any trackers), ajax.googleapis.com (allowed), and fonts.googleapis.com (partially allowed). Not seeing anything in there for Twitter.

Working now. Not sure what was wrong, but whatever it was went away the last time I restarted Firefox.

So do we need to update the Captcha or what exactly?

I can't imagine the last three days of whack-a-mole have been fun for Mothra or anyone else who'd had to sweep up the square turds left behind by these invading robots.

Okay I changed it to a Captcha, whereas before it was a "input what the dino in the logo is saying, twice" kind of deal. Let's see if it works.

Huh... it was a context question? Weird that that got worked out by bots, unless they were able to actually just break in and see the answer.

Might've been mechanical turked - get a human to look at it once, then send several bots in.

Seems weird that that'd be worth the effort for a low-traffic site like ours, but that did cross my mind, I guess.

I barely even visit here any more but Lady should have Founder status and DB access. I can give Mothra or whoever Founder as well if we need it

The bots that are still posting seem to have registered accounts before the new measures went into effect. Can we just have a purge of the userlist from that era? (Looks like January 24th is the biggest day).
