He's a writer for Sonic *Boom*, so... it's not really that out there.
(Not that Sonic Boom's a lot of toilet humor, but it's the sort of mildly subversive metajoke that the series tries to build itself on.)

One of the articles mentioned that in a novel, a character decided to become a Neurosurgeon after seeing that Heritage Canada minute as a kid.
