Good ole Krang. :)
Re: Obituaries
Yeah, saw that comic making the rounds on Tumblr. Folks like Geoff like to conveniently forget that time the Bone Farmer stopped that halfway house the vampires were trying to open, saving possibly hundreds of at-risk youth and teenage runaways from exsanguination. Sure, he did also engage in a two-year murder spree with the help of the vampires, leaving their victims as little more than a pile of skins for the leathermen to collect, but that’s the mark of a true Elder Abomination: he was able to reach across the aisle to unite the purveyors of horror to bring about so many different KINDS of atrocity against us.

And I don't want to hear a damn thing about a "war hero".

Ah geez.

Re: John Bain, I just started listening to what was his podcast, now hosted by his wife, my first episode happening to be an all woman cast of Genna Bain, Rhianna Pratchett and Geneviève Forget. It was a calm, adult discussion of the bullshit nature of the recent Arenanet firings, the way John and Jessica Price's past hostilities fed into a reddit hate mob, and worries about kids growing up today with an internet that will never forgive or forget any stupid shit they say from a place of pain and later regret. It left me deeply uneasy about the tone we took here back in May.
The fan reaction to the podcast episode was, of course, misogyny boiled in cancer.

I'm not exactly champing at the bit to give my ears to something capitalizing on neonazi hatemongering like anything with the Bain brand attached to it, but I have to wonder how much of that blame they were putting at Price's feet.
Because if it's more than zero, they're part of the problem here.
