Yeah, that was my interpretation, since it being a "Why are you ladies so angry?" shipost was the the context in which it was originally shared. I only noticed the other (positive) way you could interpret when that was pointed out later on.
So now I'm not actually sure which way the original post was meant to go. Though I'm still leaning slightly towards shitposting, because "Why should they have to fight for equal pay?" is still a pretty weird non-sequitur in context.
The story of that lopsided match wasn't about the strength of the US women's team, but the weakness of other nations' teams. The US women's team is so dominant mainly because they're vastly better funded and supported than the equivalent in just about any other nation, by an order of magnitude or more. That's still far less than the US men's team obviously and that's valid to point out, but the US women's team weren't beating the crap out of the US men's team (which they very potentially could do), they were steamrollering a hapless third party.
