Okay, a birthday announcement for one of the banned bots is pretty funny.

We're keeping this feature, right?

What are the odds that we might be able to get a windowed spoiler tag?

I know I'm the main offender for HUEGPORSTS, but I've seen other forums where instead of highlight spoilering like we have, you have to click on a tag which expands the posts. It'd be useful for any long post, especially ones with lots of images, etc. Like we get in some of the Let's Plays.

I wouldn't remove the current highlight spoiler though. That would screw up old posts, but it's still useful when you just need to spoiler a word or two, obviously.

Alright, added a "Summary" button.

This button will expand and collapse content.

Don't know of a better way to make this look good, so, anyone with html experience, let me know if you have suggestions.

Mothra, you are AWESOME. Have we told you you're awesome? Well, you are.

Looks like it's working, though I can't see the icon on the left for some reason. Anyone else have that problem? (I know it's just a unicode down arrow, I'm just wondering if it's a general issue or if it's just me, meaning I need to update what Firefox recognizes)

Gonna go try it on my hugepost from the other day.

Ah, probably not a UTF-8 character.

Okay, I replaced it with "⇳". Is that visible now?

I just got a "bitninja" ddos check when I came to the boards. This is the first time I've ever seen (or at least noticed) it, and also the first time I've had my vpn on in a couple weeks. Is this new?

News to me.

Lady, any idea? Maybe something the web host put into place?

Anybody else being logged out frequently in spite of always checking off "Remember me"?

[joke about even the board software trying to get me to shut up]

Yes, but only on desktops. My phone keeps me logged on just fine.

re: being logged in, it's going to be a cookie, which is probably sensitive to whether you have http or https and also whether there's www or not. Be consistent and see if results improve

re: bitninja, never heard of it, but stablehost does seem to use them and DDOS protection does seem to be a feature they offer, so i guess that's a reasonable result

Well, after a couple times when I posted about it, it hasn't happened for the past couple days, luckily.

I always come here by just clicking on the same bookmark I've had for ages. So that's got to be consistent at least.

Automatic url highlighting glitches on links ending with a ) so possible sanitization failure there.

I've been posting on pyoko/7DF/Bronto 20+ years now and I don't know what #finalfight is.

I think it was a mIRC chatroom made by Sharkey that was in the same place as #verge..?

I feel like I have nothing in common with the people here anymore. Barely anyone posts in the gaming boards anymore anyway. Why did I even post here?

I just miss being part of a community on the internet. I think I liked these forums because I found out about weird stuff on the internet but now the internet has jumped out and invaded reality and I hate it. or maybe I just hate being old and having nothing to hope for anymore.
