HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN
Of course, this isn't the intro with Leo McKern, more's the pity. But you can watch that segment here:
I love the way he laughs. He's like a sinister Santa Claus.

well apparently it's a bit of work to be able to play MOTAS these days. But this title screen (which also hosted the credits) music is my favorite of all time.

Same.
Well, that, and like... a third of all the posts in this thread.

Now Star Trek Voyager is far and away the worst of the Trek series, but somehow, it has the best intro by far:
God damn.

And here in Arizona we had this one:
(I work in the same building as one of those guys. Or I did, back when I used to leave my house to go to work. Pat McMahon, seen in those opening titles as everyone who isn't Wallace or Ladmo. He'd crack jokes when we'd be waiting for the elevator together. That's the kind of guy he is, always on, always performing for an audience, even if the audience is one other guy who's standing next to him waiting for the elevator.)

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that anyone else had even heard of this show.
Which reminds me of an incredible Canadian classic, featuring VINCENT PRICE! One which may well have partly inspired Count Duckula.
If you've never heard of the longest-running kids' show in Canadian history (highly likely if you didn't grow up in Canada or New York in the 70's or 80s'), this is a pretty good summary of what it was.

It's never going to not blow my mind that that they only made six episodes.
