It does seem like you could get really economic if you don't care about fiddly little details like conviction.

Re: Justice

I'd be interested to hear Mr Jung's reasons for arbitrarily executing Mr Amrine as opposed to, for example, himself. Seems like the latter would be more beneficial to the average taxpayer.

Re: The Continuing (Mis)adventures of Car Notch

because of how many "wrong side of history" opinions that dude kept insisting on sharing. Speaking of, is there a general "Oh no" topic for reporting on those, because Dabchick puppeteer Barnaby Dixon just went mask off, aggressively platforming a transphobia activist and gay co...

Re: The Continuing (Mis)adventures of Car Notch

You know, good as this thread's title is, it's not really fair on Markus. He sold me early access to Minecraft for a tenner and his company's still throwing out free updates a decade later.

TBF it is AMEX. Getting what you paid for there.

Tesla have invented Cars-as-a-Service and their entire customer base is hapless whales. It's awe inspiring in its way.

Re: The Continuing (Mis)adventures of Car Notch

I think my favourite part is them not even questioning the car's need to have their card details stored in the first place. Like what does a valid purpose for that even look like - downloading a vehicle software upgrade seems like a parked on the drive at home or GTFO kind of idea to me. Not if I ha...

This data being filed under Serious Combat Analysis makes its existence at least 110% funnier.

Also woo Battle Skutters.

Re: Unforgivable Sins of UI Design

Capitalism's terror of people sharing media has been a hilarious self-own to watch over the decades. It's become a reflex to use unofficial channels by default because you just know going legit will be a miserable experience. DVDs vs any screen that'll accept a usb drive are the absolute poster child.

Not to mention the part where you can find yourself being a defendant without ever committing the alleged offense. "Criminal defendant" is some shady ass manipulative language.

I like the general concept of an external GPU, given the heat issues I've had with previous gaming laptop attempts. Anyone have experience of using one day to day?

I'm pretty sure starting a buddy road trip movie with the local tomcat cougar is an excellent idea with no drawbacks.

BUT is Friday even a cat person tho?

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY

I was surprised that I liked my longest commute, because it was three hours a day through green space, mostly bordering a national park. It's the city driving that drains your soul. How long 'til the new den is good for showing off?

Re: The unbearable cuteness of D'AWWWWWW

I love how all cats are basically the same and the scale of cat you can form a bond with is purely down to your piercing damage reduction and healing factor. I grew up near a local wildlife park that was horribly badly run in retrospect, socialised their lions with way too much human contact. I did ...

Re: Game musings and news

As a side annoyance for those of us with weaker machines but strong network connections, the stubborn need for third party loot filters renders Gforce Now ususable as a solution because Nvidia don't support any third party mods. The developers have still signed their game up to the service, just so ...

Re: Mobile Game Hell

This seems like maybe the most on-topic place to report that last year, ScummVM apparently incorporated various Ultima remakes as plugins, so IV, VII, VIII, Martian Dreams & Savage Empire (U6 Engine) and Crusader: No Remorse (U8 Engine) are playable on just about any device forever now. Neat.
