Re: Barefoot and Pregnant

Yikes. If you're gonna speculate about whether somebody's a predator, maybe base it on something a little more concrete than "has a beard"? Nonono it's not an appearance thing, just that he's now about the last of the powerful old dudes I grew up thinking of as a voice of progressive wisd...

Re: Barefoot and Pregnant

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Ellis and Notch look like dudes cosplaying as each other. Counting the days until Moore turns out to be the same cookie cutter breed of asshole then I guess. Is there a secular humanist philosophical movement hiding out there somewhere that isn't fronted by pred...

Tansy was reading the forum over my shoulder at that point and said she's played way more vagina levels and would be better answering this question in reverse.

I guarantee she's going to work this into Christmas dinner conversation at the weekend.

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY

Is there an affordable device that'll maintain a backup mobile data connection and seamlessly swap it in whenever the wired link craps the bed? Seems like that should be a thing. ... okay yeah, looks like it's an extra 'secondary wan' feature on some routers. Eg: ASUS ones are good for plugging in A...

I miss Drew Toothpaste's 'Fuck the Future' podcast but I can see how being the voice of Eeyore would lose its appeal as basically the entire Anglosphere abandons hope. In positive news he's not many patrons away from starting a Worst Things For Sale video channel.

There's a good chance that get_iplayer will grab it as mp3 given the appropriate program IDs. Eg: m0012pjv

Re: Microsoft: Still a Thing

As for my thoughts on Windows 10 in general -- I think it's a great OS in an enterprise environment , where operations can turn off all the shit I hate about it. And where the mothership will to some degree support their ability to do that rather than working against it at every turn? Or are corpor...

I 'like' that they can't imagine the black guy being just plain innocent and unarmed even for their press conference role-play.

Re: Computer help requests

Searching Foxit I see a bunch of people saying it's on a mission to turn itself into Adobe. (bloat, unwanted plugins, aggressive updater, takes a whole work day to uninstall) Is there some sort of Lite or portable version that dodges that for now?

Just the general viewing and printing, fillable forms would be a bonus. My creation needs are covered by print-to-pdf.

What are the Adobe-averse using for pdf work these days? If it's a small form I usually import into InkScape which is getting a bit Rube Goldberg even for me.
