Re: The Star Trek Thread
I didn't dig the end of Magical Storybook Clusterfuck but a bunch of my Xer friends who are parents did so shrug. I love that they did that kind of ep, though. I think I like these shows best when they're campy procedural workplace dramedy or whatever and I appreciate it that with this and Spock doi...

Re: Oh those pet peeves
People who care about "historical accuracy" in period pieces never seem to give a shit about that little strip of grass down the middle of the dirt roads. I grew up with ox carts and shit, grass down the middle is a thing of cars. They also don't seem to care about potatoes where they have...

Re: Hot Tweets Cool Treats
I met Phil LaMarr at a party once without realizing it. We shot the shit about making hot sauce for like half an hour. Then he seemed really distracted and I followed where he was looking and Des had just eaten an entire cake in one bite like a snake.

Well, shit. I remember thinking something was sus there but chalked it up to my own misanthropy. Turns out I have exactly the right amount of faith in mankind, which is none.

Re: The Star Trek Thread
just two hours of a gay lizard and a nervous dork hitting on each other. Sadly, Rick Berman and his rampant homophobia (which also affected VOY and TNG) nipped this in the bud. As soon as the queer audience began to pick up on the very obvious romantic angle to Lizard and Dork's interactions, Berma...

Re: The Star Trek Thread
1350097546480394240 I'm familiar with the characters just through cultural osmosis but would you believe I've never really watched this show? I get that people who are into it are way into it but I watched the pilot a little while back and the only thing I strongly felt about it was disappointment ...

Didn't want to completely clog up the community chest with my bullshit so I brought a sledge over.

Re: Mein Kraft
We can only dream. Back in beta I used to do update/tutorial videos for IGN and one of the sillier things I recommended was making a bunch of snow golems and letting them just wander the nether aimlessly, so when you inevitably got lost you could usually find a snow trail to backtrack to your portal...

Re: Mein Kraft
That's rad. I've never done a crazy megastructure like that unless lava casts count and they don't. I bet you'll probably be able to do something with that with frog lights once they're a thing. Also, I could have sworn I found a shader that didn't turn everything orange but it would have been ages ...

Heh, guess I shouldn't have assumed everything down here is fireproof. Also, I just checked and by going due north from my portal exit and jiggering east I've managed to place the ice highway 60 blocks directly above the underground route. Like, to the block. I could sink a ladder shaft to one side ...

Re: Mein Kraft
Aw, man that's neat. I only just got around to checking out the far fort after spending like a month just sort of fucking around in my amusement park/trash forest and I'm kind of boggled. It never even occurred to me to just set up residence in a nether fortress and live on berries? Motivated me to ...

Re: The Star Trek Thread
If I remember right Arena was based on a short story by Frederic Brown, except instead of a lizard guy the opponent was a tentacled beach ball. Almost wonder if the bit with Pinback and the alien in Dark Star was a callback to that. I could have sworn that there was a radio adaptation on Dimension X...

That was fun but the Gorn's secret code is a replacement cypher? In English ? This is a species that has faster than light travel but communicates by shining flashlights though windows at each other like grade school kids playing spy? Amazing. I dunno, maybe it's a side effect of the mind me...

The gunpowder fairy came in the night and left a bunch in the chalet. I turned the giant trash can into a mob farm and idled above it for a day so there's plenty and to spare, along with some string and the usual bullshit. It's not huge and the location is probably bad (I know I haven't bothered lig...

I remember back when Gavin was mayor I hitched a ride from a dude in a dune buggy going to the tenderloin and he turned on a PA system and the whole way was shouting shit like "VOTE FOR ME. I'M GRASSHOPPER. GAVIN NEWSOM'S DEAD. BECAUSE I KILLED HIM. I'M AN AXE MURDERER. VOTE FOR GRASSHOPPER.&qu...

Anyway yeah I wanted it for the falling snow not accumulating because reasons. https://i.ibb.co/8gTy83n/dorothy.gif (this is what the refrance) It's cool I can always just build more rainbows, really gay up the joint. Also, not so fun fact but they used to use asbestos for snow in shots l...
