Re: Trump Leaving Office Poll (Part 2)

I would be a little surprised if all the necessary due diligence to raid a former president happened within the time frame since Alex Jones's texts were turned over. The more likely hypothesis IMO, even though Alex Jones hiring incompetent lawyers sinking the criminal enterprise that is the Republic...

Re: Oh those pet peeves

I bought a Steelseries Rival 600 after I got tired of Logitechs crapping out in less than a year; the glue keeping the rubber grippy pads on the mouse kinda sucks (one of the pads fell off pretty quickly, but it's nice and smooth where it was and I don't even notice the absence) but I've had it sinc...

And once it's been reported stolen, they don't bother reporting it un-stolen when the person who rented it returns it as arranged, so you can get pulled over and harassed even if you didn't keep the vehicle late.

My dad had moderate success with Anker robot vacuums, but to my knowledge none of the robot vacuums are particularly good at tight corner type areas, so it'd mostly be useful for crumbs that are out in the open. I don't know what your threat model is for crumbs.

I need to go apologize to Liefeld for making fun of that Captain America cover. Elon's feet even aren't visible.

Re: Insane in the Ukraine

Ukraine refuses the enemy's request for a green corridor for thousands of soldiers to exit Kherson region. Ukraine demands their surrender of troops and equipment otherwise they will be eradicated. This is also against a backdrop where the Ukrainians have successfully repulsed every single Russian ...

So the normal price for a Su-34 is $36M... This being (presumably) one of ten 'modernized' ones likely cost much more than that.

Re: The Many Poisonous Animals of the Amazon

For the broad legitimate criticism of Google, they do (or did, when I worked there) at least require warrants and have a legal team review the warrants to push back on overly broad requests.

Re: Rooty-tooty point and shootys

I could've sworn I wrote this reply earlier today but it's not there anymore, so... Sure then, ban specific models. Whatever makes you happy. Just make sure manufacturers federally can't make certain weapons or specific features, and that retailers can't sell them either. Or if you prefer, why don't...

Re: Rooty-tooty point and shootys

I'm glad you asked, instead the regulation would dictate the type of features that are legal to sell, not to try and ban certain types of guns. Note: The right to bear arms would not be restricted since people would still have access to arms Please define "the type of features" that you w...

Re: Rooty-tooty point and shootys

This isn't a debate about reducing right-wing terrorists, we're already on agreement there. Well, your sentence read like "reduce access to guns to directly reduce right-wing terrorists" to me. I may have been mistaken. such as limiting the manufacture and sale of certain types of weapons...

Re: Rooty-tooty point and shootys

Moving this to the correct thread. I agree, and improving society to have less right-wing terrorists means having less guns. I don't believe that access to guns actually has a correlation to the number of right-wing terrorists, unless you have a source to cite on that which addresses how Switzerland...

Re: Our Boys In Blue

I mean, is there anyway I can convince you that the white, right-wing males are vastly outpacing minorities in being armed? But go on, I want to hear how the problem of too many guns is solved by more guns My point is that instead of wasting political capital (and money, and additional power dispar...

Re: Our Boys In Blue

We really will try anything else besides getting rid of guns, won't we? Like, we'd sooner try injecting kevlar into our children to make them bulletproof first? These "solutions" to mass gun violence are preferred because somebody, somehow gets a fat contract for something that won't work...
