Re: Game musings and news
You can finally play Sony’s Spider-Man on PC—but it’s not all good news (yet) Such complaints might be moot when Spider-Man launches on Friday, August 12—and we sure hope so. At its best, this game does whatever a PC rig can, delivering ultra-wide ratios, super-charged graphical settings, higher fr...

There's also a bit in the Lone Gunmen pilot where Frohike confronts femme fatale Yves Harlow, and it goes like this (quoted from a transcript on the X-Files wiki ): YVES: I guess you don't know me. FROHIKE: Well, maybe I do (pause) Lee Harvey Oswald. (Yves looks at him.) FROHIKE: Your name, Yves Ade...

Re: TV Series On The Television
I've only watched the first episode of Sandman but I thought it was pretty damn good. Hard to judge Sandman by the early stuff, though. It's not really Sandman until it stops being a horror comic and starts feeling more like mythology. That's, what, volume 3? Which will be season 2, if there is one....

I guess "this is just like all those times the FBI didn't raid his house" sort of resembles reasoning.
It's pattern recognition, at least.

Primary source on this is Fox News so I'm not going to link to it, but it looks like they're going after Congressman Scott Perry too:
Re: X-Files
They also had that replacement Mulder and Scully in season 10. Replacement Mulder was Arrow's cousin and Replacement Scully was the leading lady from Psycho Beach Party. (There was a plot point involving government implants from the smallpox vaccine -- which, TBF, was from the original series, but h...

Re: Trump Leaving Office Poll (Part 2)
If they can nail him for this within two years Trump is done with his federal government office holding efforts in all forms. He and the Republicans won't even be able to try some insane legal dancing to work around it. Trump's only option to get power back would be to attempt a coup again. Not the...
Re: X-Files
The other thing is that, while introducing Reyes and giving her some history with Doggett isn't a bad idea, their interaction in her first appearance consists entirely of her delivering stilted, heavyhanded exposition about his son. Which they'd actually done a really good job not overemphasizing up...

Re: Trump Leaving Office Poll (Part 2)
We don't know the specifics yet, but the NYT is reporting that it's related to Trump taking classified documents with him when he left the White House; Ken doesn't think that's sufficient explanation for this happening now, and suspects there's more to the story than that. Renato Mariotti agrees ( ...

Popehat thread/ Nitter mirror Basically, the way he sees it: this is a big fucking deal, it would have been approved at the highest levels, and they wouldn't have approved it if they weren't seriously preparing to indict. We don't know the specifics yet, but the NYT is reporting that it's related to...

Agent Scully 2 aka "Reyes" She's at least Agent Scully 3, given how clearly Spender and Fowley were set up as replacement Mulder and Scully back in seasons 5-6. (I'd just like to remind everyone that this show introduced a character named Diana Fowley as a potential replacement for Dana S...

Re: Hey [%target] Whatcha Playin'?
I keep hearing the Xbox Series controller has the best D-pad of the current generation of consoles, and I was skeptical because (1) the damn thing looks like they took the weird PlayStation design with the recessed middle, slapped it on a Genesis-style circle pad, and then recessed the whole fucking...

So I dunno how, but Schumer somehow just got Manchin to agree to a revived bill which touches on a lot of the same issues, with a commitment to maybe the biggest reduction in US emissions ever, the biggest corporate tax hike in decades, and reduced the cost of healthcare & prescription drugs by...
