Re: Gamerbois Gone Wild(ly Racist)

Mongrel, you may want to look up the circumstance of that actual exchange , since it's not hypothetical. Charles = RuPaul, in the quote below. “Does the word ‘tranny’ bother me? No. I love the word ‘tranny,’” Charles said in the interview. “Don’t you dare tell me what I can do or what I can say” Cha...

Re: Gamerbois Gone Wild(ly Racist)

This whole conversation reminds me of an article that Film Crit Hulk built out of a series of tweets he wrote after the PDP revelation: [ ... ] And the article: P.C. Culture Vs. The Big Joke Article was thought-provoking. Kind of feel that PC culture stuff deserves its own separate topic. I want to...

Re: Gamerbois Gone Wild(ly Racist)

Also, I would argue that it seems like Reddit's admins are at least half-heartedly trying to fight back on this Yeah, that's fantastic, but you still get posts from things named "BlackPeopleTwitter" on the front page on the regular. /r/blackpeopletwitter was a celebration of African Ameri...

Re: Gamerbois Gone Wild(ly Racist)

Calling PDP an anti-semite threatens to delegitimize the term. It will make it harder for actual , intentional acts of anti-semitism more to be taken seriously when they finally show up, because people will numb to cries of "wolf." (I get the normalization thing, but it's not like PDP got ...

Re: (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Animes

I was expecting Maid Dragon to be total trash (because the synopsis was silly, and I didn't realize kyoani was involved) but it's pretty decent.

KonoSuba S2 is good too, though the first episode was weak.

Re: Oh shit, what are we gonna do now?

I hope R won not because of stooping, but rather in spite* of it. The alternative is unpalatable, especially when it means "my" side has to don similar horns. *E.g. people's personal economic concerns or foreign policy inclinations trumped other umbrage with the party's problems, like bein...

Re: Oh shit, what are we gonna do now?

Devil's advocate time here, briefly. Keeping the pressure on is a good idea. But don't assume or imply facts you don't have. Why not? In seriousness. The Republicans pursued Benghazi when it was obviously nothing, demanded multiple investigations into it, found nothing, and what was the consequence...

Horizon Zero Dawn

I love hiding in grass and putting arrows in the eyes of stalking mechanical horrors.

Anyone else?

I'm not at the terrible, preachy part of the game yet. Just enjoying myself while running around and doing silly quests for generic people I don't care about.

Re: Nintendo's Witch

Well, maybe if you wait until black friday or another seasonal deal, you can get a game free with the console.

Most of a game, anyway. There's still going to be a DLC season pass.

At least they don't come with free-to-wait games. Yet.

Remember when Nintendo would just give away their gimmicky tech demos when you bought a console?

Wasn't expecting to enjoy Demi-chan as much as I have been.

Probably the world's most kiddy gloves handling of discrimination, and I'm not sure they're actually going anywhere with it, but I'm enjoying the cast a lot. It's an easy thing to wind down to.
