Re: The Star Trek Thread
Ugh, I did not care for that finale. This felt a lot lot lot like an idea some kind of Berman-style jagoff had and made the show execute on. Really clanged with everything they've built throughout SWN so far. I looked into some of the behind-the-scenes stuff, and sure enough, "from the start&qu...

Re: Podcasts where it isn't stand up comedians talking and talking (and talking)
Normal Gossip - Been getting a kick out of this after Oxi introduced me. The host and a guest just disguise the names in the juiciest gossip they can think of, and let it rip. Dungeons & Daddies - I caved and agreed to listen to this at my brother's urging. It is incredibly good. I am a fool fo...

Re: TV Series On The Television
I watched the first season of From Gods the writing is so terrible it's amazing. This is like an accidental Twin Peaks. Yeah, this is kind of what made me like it. It's bad enough that it makes weird-ass, head-scratching choices, and it's pretty funny. There's this part where the wife notices that,...

Re: TV Series On The Television
I watched the first season of From , starring Harold Perrineau (Michael from Lost), in which they just do Lost again. A generic guy and his generic family get stuck in a purgatory, where they can never leave the tiny 4-building town, just as with everyone there. At night, creepy, put-together people...

Re: The Star Trek Thread
Regarding SNW, I enjoyed this latest storybook ep quite a bit. It’s like, what would be one of the worst TOS episodes done very well. I really like that they are embracing every weird-ass, embarrassing thing TOS did and championing it. It’s the same in-spirit celebration of the source material that ...

Re: The Star Trek Thread
Was listening to an interview with one of the Enterprise writers on TGD the other day and this stuck out to me: ⋅ Rick Berman described to the writer’s team that Voyager had gotten “too sterile” and “had too much technobabble” and that he wanted to bring back Kirk-style swashbuckling to t...

Re: TNG Episode Tier List
The only good TNG episode is the one where the starship Enterprise encounters a haunted temple in space and it turns the ship into a temple, and Brent Spiner plays like 4 increasingly insane characters.
Re: Star Wars
Yeah it sucks pretty hard. Not as bad as Fett, but it's certainly up there.

He's playable in the new brawler! (As are Splinter and April.)
(He is not unfortunately but April and Splinter indeed are)

Re: The Star Trek Thread
Babylon 5 has worse actors, but far better writing. Like, the actors are good and get the job done where it counts, but you compare that to DS9, where every actor is absolutely killer, and it's no contest. The two best actors on B5 are by leaps and bounds Andreas Katsulas as G'Kar (who has been a Tr...

Re: Star Wars
I'm gonna keep watching this because it's something to put on while I work out, but holy fuck guys this show blows.
Re: Star Wars
Dude this Obi-Wan show fuggin' suuuuucks I really liked the first episode. Haven't seen the other two yet. I understand they just sorta took the same premise as the Mandolorian, only with Obie and Baby Leia instead of Mando and Baby Yoda I'd heard that they intended it to be Obi-Wan protecting Luke...
