Re: Friday's Ultimate Vanity Project: 100 Games, 100 Reviews

I played Shadowrun Returns. It was interesting. Good use of setting, rather better gameplay than what you're describing (it's a grid-based, turn-based tactical RPG, and IIRC you have control over the party members you hire). Story a little simple, ending pretty obvious. I have the two followups (th...

Re: Friday's Ultimate Vanity Project: 100 Games, 100 Reviews

About two years ago I played through the game again and it struck me how... limited? DX's levels actually are. They're just little boxes carved out of the void, but despite this they really sell the experience of being in these locales and interacting with the NPCs there, hostile and otherwise. It ...

Entirely consistent. The missing clock signal is for the LPC bus, which isn't used for much... except for loading the BIOS.

So I'm not clear from that whether it just means it's non-functional because he took all the hard drives out, or whether it's actually broken and doesn't work at all. More than likely, it's an Atom C2000-series system, and that means it's non-functional because original silicon for those chips die ...

Re: HOW WAS YOUR DAY

Washington has a huge problem with fraudulent unemployment claims at the moment, which I discovered this morning includes an account opened under my name and SSN. At least I'm actually employed right now, or cleaning that up would be much more of a problem.

Re: Things That Go in Your Mouth

The silver lining of WFH days is absolutely in cooking things that would otherwise be weekends-only. My chili's improved, and I'm closing in on a really solid frijoles negros recipe as well.

Last batch of muffins needed some improvement, but even a merely okay fresh warm muffin is worth something.

The ones I get are using my old LinkedIn password. It's almost disappointing that they've all been in English lately - it used to be fun to try and figure out which language I was being extorted in. Norwegian was inexplicably popular for a few weeks.

Leaving aside for a moment the Dems utterly crippling ability to relate to the public in any meaningful way (leaving them completely unable to recognize the value of things like that clip), where in the fuck is Biden? I got a Pinebook Pro . Think of it as a recent-model Raspberry Pi strapped into a laptop case. It only usefully runs Linux on its ARM processor and 4GB RAM. (Yeah, you can technically put ChromeOS or *BSD on it, but I said usefully .) Hardware-wise, it is remarkably nice - this is a $200 machine, an...

Hey, what's new with Matt there?

Still in office. No actions taken by the legislature. "Shea so far has received the second-most individual campaign donations of any state House Republican, behind only the House Minority Leader".
