The Birthday thread: Rebirth
Re: The Birthday thread: Rebirth
You haven't posted in a year Wheels, but I hope you're doing well. Have a good one!

Re: The Birthday thread: Rebirth
Y'know, Hulu, I was planning to watch This Is 40 anyway, but putting it in my recommendations feels like kind of a cheap shot.

Ouch.
But happy birthday anyway.
I think you're also supposed to have midlife crisis or something now (I got ahead of that and had mine in my 30's), any plans? :D

Ordered a Steam Deck. Seems a little extravagant but, on balance, a lot cheaper than a sports car.

You can't play Pole Position in a sports car anyway. Take that, Ferrari.

Congratudolences on your continued existence in this hellworld. Please celebrate your continued survival to the best of your abilities!

Happy Thanksgiving! Fuck the holiday's origin mythology, and just enjoy a good feast with your blood and/or chosen family!

Of all the vampires in the world you choose the one with the insatiable hunger for numbers instead of blood

Happy birthday Blossom. If 40 is bothering you, just remember that it means you are one year closer to a bunch of old people you hate being dead. That's how I like to think about it, anyway.
oh, um. You probably won't see this, then. But regardless, Mitch McConnell is still one year closer to the grave.

Happy birthday Buge!
Reminds me that I've been meaning to ask: Now that you've been there for a while, how has Seattle treated you and K?

Thank you!
This place is so nice. The weather is consistently pleasant so far, there's lots of stuff to do, and everyone is so friendly. Like, people will just start talking to you sometimes. It's great!
Also the US has an amazing selection of food. I don't know if it's because of heavy product tariffs, or if Loblaws/Sobeys et al. has a stranglehold has on grocery imports, but we've been able to make so many more recipes than we could in Toronto.

Oh yeah, American grocery stores beat the stuffing outta ours. I feel like in Toronto at least you can kind of make up the difference by going to all the different niche/ethnic grocery stores, but obviously that's way more stops to make.
