More importantly it is my anniversary. The lady had the best ribeye she has had in a while and I had a fucking incredible pork chop, and the place even served mocktails that were both delicious AND not overpriced which is a real rarity that my teetotalling ass appreciates a lot. It was a good date night.

happy new year i've spent most of mine so far dazed and half asleep on the couch from getting our covid boosters yesterday so, you know, it definitely is nice to have turned the corner and moved on to something compared to 2021

I've got this idea for a hardboiled detective story starring Eeyore, but the heyday of the noir detective story is the 1930s and we're still years out from that stuff hitting the PD. Maltese Falcon will be PD in 2026, but Big Sleep won't be until 2035.
