I was about to say "wait, aren't Russian and Finnish somewhat closely related?" But then I consulted my favorite family tree and remembered that Finnish is an absolute moon language, unrelated to damn near everything.

Finnish is vaguely related to Hungarian. These two languages are not related to any other languages except via word loaning and calquing.
