I saw "MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT" trending and like a dumbass I couldn't resist that clickbait.

The reason that MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT was trending is because a sports news broadcaster said MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT before running the incredibly minor story that the SF Giants' Manager says he won't appear on the field during the national anthem as protest against the state of the country.

Man, that's just so embarrassingly worse than Steve Kerr's use of his own platform just a couple days ago.
