Update: Trump's own SuperPAC has been running ads touting Project 2025.

Interesting.

Is it possible that the Trump campaign is... broke?

I mean, I bet they have money coming in, but is it all going towards campaigning?

I've definitely seen Biden ads on TV (and I don't watch a lot of network TV). I think they're good ads. "Trump is corrupt AF and only out for himself; Biden's working for you and has created x number of jobs," that kind of thing.

I think a whole lot of it's going toward his legal bills.

That's the probability I was nodding towards, yes. :3

Apropos of nothing, the Lara Trump-led RNC is coming up real soon.

Apparently the main Republican org in charge of Get Out The Vote for this fall is Charlie Kirk’s PAC.

AOC just ran up the flagpole for Biden in no uncertain terms.

Harris of course has done the same last week and, but boy howdy are reporters sure trying hard to not talk to her. Actually, if the stories going around are true, Harris exact words at the governors' meeting were “this is about saving our fucking democracy”. Hearsay, I know; maybe if a reporter from a paper of record bothered to talk to her sometime.

Also it might be a temporary bump given it's July, but polls among seniors are showing further increases for Biden. It seems people who are 60+ are not happy with the suggestion that a little bit of slowdown at their age means they should be put out too pasture (or Old Yeller'd for that matter). Seniors are probably also a lot more likely to know people who do have dementia and so can compare very readily.

What if reporters actually talked to rank and file Democratic voters instead of panicked backbenchers or smug elite donors?

(Atlanta Journal-Constitution, but screenshot because paywall)

Maybe they're wrong and the likes of the New York Times, Ezra Klein, Nate Silver, Matt Yglesias and Thomas Friedman are the ones who are actually correct about this

You just reminded me that Ken Klippenstein recently went mask-off and joined Bannon's website as a writer. Like, the dude just went to fucking jail and now you join him? That sure is some excellent judgment.

It's difficult to assess how all this "replace Biden" is playing with normies, because everything I hear about it is filtered through either the news media or social media. And even different reporters at the same outlet don't necessarily agree with one another; I saw a WSJ headline a day or two ago to the effect that maybe this isn't such a brobdingnagian deal after all, but today's WSJ homepage is all about treating it like it's the brobdingnagiest story in the world. I've seen articles claiming post-debate polling looks devastating for Biden and others claiming that the swing isn't as brobdingnagian as expected. Judging by the poll aggregates, it looks like Trump gained slightly post-debate but the race is still a dead heat; that's the take I'm most inclined toward at this point, but this is one of those occasions where the answer I'm most confident in is "I don't know."

I think fundamentally what people supporting Biden understand is that this is absolutely a campaign where you should be taking the fight to the enemy and that the Dem candidate almost doesn't matter.

If a visibly actually-demented Regan could wipe the floor with Mondale in '84 (after a famously poor debate performance by Reagan!), the Dems should absolutely be shooting to do the same to the vastly inferior and actual-fascist Trump in '24.

Hopelessly self-destructive leftist infighting may be a trope, but that doesn't mean it's some immutable law, or that it's always been the case - just ask Alf Landon.

Personally, I won't be voting for Biden because I think he's too young. I want Frieren in there, or at least an Elder Dragon

Don't split the vote

We have to elect Nicol Bolas to keep the Phyrexians out of office

So, the third letter on each page of project 2025 spell out the fourteen words.

I'm not making this up, you can literally go check right now.

...is there another version of this I didn't get? Because I've spent nearly 15 minutes looking through this and I'm not getting it. And I'm not seeing much mention of it on social media besides "it takes 900 pages to say fourteen words?"

I did and I can't find it. Maybe you didn't make it up but it seems like someone did

EDIT: Is this just bullshit people are saying to get people to read Project 2025?
