In it Carlson is seen repeatedly saying the word "Russia" - in what appeared to be clips spliced together from earlier broadcasts - and concludes with footage of him saying the word "24".

Tucker Carlson issues vehement denial after Russian TV releases teaser for a new Tucker Carlson show to be broadcast on Rossiya 24
Re: Jernalism!
Headline in the Guardian:
"Poisoning the blood of our country" is not a fucking dog-whistle, you absolute god-damned numpty.
"Young buck" is a dog-whistle. "Welfare queen" is a dog whistle. "Super-predator", "globalist", "coastal elite", "urban", "thug", "liberal media", "make America great again", and "tax cuts" are dog-whistles.
"Poisoning the blood of our country" isn't a fucking dog-whistle. It's not a euphemism; it's not plausible deniability. It's just overt white supremacy.
I mean, this is at least an improvement over all that "economic anxiety" bullshit the MSM peddled for the last two elections. At least they're acknowledging Trump's saying nazi shit. But, y'know, maybe stop acting like the guy who started his first campaign by saying Mexican immigrants are rapists is being subtle about it?
'He's dog-whistling': Trump denounced over anti-immigrant comment

ABC News headline: "What the framers said about the 14th Amendment's disqualification clause"
Probably not a hell of a lot, considering the last of them had been dead for 32 years.

hold on, let me just combine every bad journalism bullshit into one sentence
child, one L. Simpson, hit 324 times by bullets fired from guns that were in the hands of police officers, is there two interpretations?

Orlando Journal Sentinel: Democratic law firm challenges Wisconsin's congressional district lines in filing with state Supreme Court
reporters so used to adding qualifiers to objective facts that they describe the passage of time itself as "likely"
The group aims to have a new map in place for the 2024 election, though those plans likely face a tight deadline with under 11 months to go before the November election.

Igor Girkin is a Russian who was part of Putin’s dirty war in Donbas from the earliest days in 2014, a fascist and anti-Semite who wrote for Zavtra, a known FSB officer (caught using their ID and resources many times), one of the first Russian operatives in occupied Crimea, one-time Defense minister of the Donetsk puppet state, and a convicted war criminal who led the team which downed Netherlands flight MH17
...and CNN goes with.

Oh hey, Ronna Romney McDaniel's already been fired from NBC. How long was she there? Like two days? That's only 0.14 Scaramuccis!
But really, how fucked up was it that she was even hired in the first place? Like, you could hire me to spout absolute nonsense and give crappy interviews for far less than $300k, and I won't even try to overthrow democracy.

Re: Jernalism!
A rare positive example for the thread, as the Cleveland Plain Dealer lives up to its name: Our Trump reporting upsets some readers, but there aren’t two sides to facts
The north star here is truth. We tell the truth, even when it offends some of the people who pay us for information.
The truth is that Donald Trump undermined faith in our elections in his false bid to retain the presidency. He sparked an insurrection intended to overthrow our government and keep himself in power. No president in our history has done worse.
This is not subjective. We all saw it. Plenty of leaders today try to convince the masses we did not see what we saw, but our eyes don’t deceive. (If leaders began a yearslong campaign today to convince us that the Baltimore bridge did not collapse Tuesday morning, would you ever believe them?) Trust your eyes. Trump on Jan. 6 launched the most serious threat to our system of government since the Civil War. You know that. You saw it.
The facts involving Trump are crystal clear, and as news people, we cannot pretend otherwise, as unpopular as that might be with a segment of our readers. There aren’t two sides to facts. People who say the earth is flat don’t get space on our platforms. If that offends them, so be it.

Paste buys The AV Club. I mean, I'm not sure what's left to buy of The AV Club at this point as opposed to there still being something to rescue when they picked up Jezebel, but maybe this will give them a more noble eventual end than the AI death spiral they were currently going down.
Re: Jernalism!
AIUI they got rid of the comments -- like, not just disabled new comments but took down the entire history -- and that lasted about two hours before the backlash led them to reverse course.
At least, that's what I hear. I haven't actually gone back there.
