Musk expressed his hope today that "his platform" would "one day be as brobdingnagian as Truth Social".

Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
lmao, latest news about the wankpanzer is that apparently you can just "peel" the windows out and it will have absolutely no security response to this.
Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
The "funny" thing is that I might actually respect this as a principled stand against government censorship, if Musk hadn't repeatedly demonstrated that he doesn't actually give a fuck about government censorship when it's Turkiye or India.

Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
Apparently Glenn Greenwald moved to Brazil a while back (can't say I was paying attention), so it's now illegal for him to Tweet.
Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
Yeah, Greenwald married David Miranda (who was Brazilian) all the way back in 2005.
Miranda was, so far as I'm aware, a good guy, and I won't hold marrying Glenn Greenwald against him.

Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
He is sooooooo far gone man, just fucking gone.
Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
I just want to say, that apropos of nothing, Musk's twitter av is the funniest fucking thing to me. Like he's wearing some sort of dyed red plate armor and looking off heroically with his jaw as squared as possible. It's the kind of pose that gets used in parody fantasy shit to make a tired joke.
If he was real memer and man of the people like he likes to pretend to be, he'd just have a cat av like the rest of us.

Reminder that the photo is from Heidi Klum's costume party where he wore an off-the-shelf shitty plastic armor set over his street clothes and the host looked like this:
Bonus points for it having Baphomet's face on it while he complains about the loss of christian values on his website where that is his avatar.

Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
I'm a little reluctant to drag someone just for being an armored cosplay dork, probably because that was me at least once upon a time. Like, once I was wiki-walking about combat sports and landed on the page for dagorhir, which had this guy as one of the top images. My knee-jerk reaction was "what a fucking dork," but soon I realized he's a dork having the time of his life and who asked me to judge?
I guess the difference here is that some of us know well enough that it's just a costume, just some 40-year-old kids playing at sticks.

Right, exactly. The difference between you and me and dagorhir and every other cosplay dork is that when we dress up as anime characters or knights or anime knights we know we are just being silly and having fun. When Elon Musk does it, and poses like a heroic savior with his jaw squared while gazing heroically into the distance, he does it because he's an egomaniac who thinks he's the savior of humankind.
And that's not me projecting anything onto him, there are multiple quotes from people who have worked with him and known him closely who have said that Elon sees himself that way.
tl;dr: I'm making fun of his av because it's an extension of his megalomania and his inflated sense of self-importance, not because he's wearing fantasy armor. I like fantasy armor. Everyone should wear fantasy armor at all times.
Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
I don't know if Elon Musk thinks he's the savior of humankind.
I do know Elon Musk wants everyone else to think he's the savior of humankind.

I hope she sues his ass so hard he's left licking alleyway pavement to get his next fix.
Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
What is with this guy and his pathological need to have kids? Is this some weirdo version of narcissism?
Re: Adventures of the Longest Muskrat
He both believes that he is a divinely-gifted genius and that he has a moral obligation to produce as many superior babies as possible

It's telling that, when he was describing what shocked him about his daughter's transition, he said "It's sterilization!"

Remember that white supremacists consider mixed-race children to be an intentional diluting of the Strong, Pure, White Blood, and the only way to counteract that is to have as many Strong, Pure, White Babies as possible.
