Re: Obituaries
Robbie Coltrane.
Bummer. 72 isn't young, but it isn't that old, either.
Always enjoyed him in anything I saw him in. I mostly didn't love the Harry Potter movies and they're even harder to love now, but damned if Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid isn't one of the most perfect casting decisions I've ever seen.

Re: Obituaries
Damn.
Nuns on the Run, as dopey as it was (and probably not something to rewatch today), was a fondly remembered film of my childhood - hard to forget Robbie and Eric Idle chanting the old British "spectacles, Rocky Mountain Oysters, wallet, and watch" method for remembering how to sign the cross. (the great soundtrack by Yello didn't hurt either). Idle I already knew by then, but I kept an eye out for Robbie showing up in stuff after that (and we all know Goldeneye, haha).

He was in Henry V as Falstaff!
And that movie's protagonist was nicknamed Harry, too...
Re: Obituaries
Character actor and stuntman Ted White, who was in a bunch of stuff, probably most notably and least recognizably as Jason in one of the Friday the 13th movies.

Leslie Jordan, character actor and gay rights activist.

Jerry Lee Lewis.

Aw damn, wtf.
He was one of my favourites during the ancient days of yore (i.e. the 90's, when I read X-books).

Re: Obituaries
And still had new work coming out as recently as the past few months. The end of the latest issue of Arrowsmith mentioned that he'd been having health problems but planned to finish the story next year.
Hardly the most pressing question right now, but I wonder if Busiek will finish it with somebody else or if that's just going to be the end of it.
