We really should be more actively encouraging libertarians to carry out their emancipation from society fantasies. Quickest and easiest way to deal with them

They're always entertainingly good at it.

http://citationpod.com/episode/the-free-town-project
(TLDR: A Free State Project was planned, but the first experimental town was utterly destroyed by libertarians feeding bears, trying to run a capitalist fire department etc.)

The space colony version later this century is going to be their opus.

Also, reading that story, did Patri Friedman get his ideas from playing Bioshock? I guess the other option is Snow Crash, since their ideas sound a lot like The Raft

This article was amended on 8 September 2021 to include the full name of Ambassador Cruise Line, and to clarify that the Ambience’s dinners will have five courses, not three.

I want to love this, but based on his background with NFTs I think it's a sincere question.

This is something of an epidemic among rappers. Soulja Boy bought some Atari coins recently and announced with all apparent sincerity that he now owned the company.

Prokopetz wrote:The way the public discussing regarding NFTs is shaping up, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that not only do the people buying NFTs not understand what an NFT is or what it does, but neither do the people selling them, nor even the majority of the people providing the infrastructure that enables them to be bought and sold. It’s gotten to the point that it’s legitimately unclear who’s grifting whom, because nobody involved with any dimension of the enterprise has the slightest idea what they’re talking about.

Ooookay so the H.R.3684 - Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act just passed, crypto is now officially a cash asset in the USA for taxation and debt purposes and keeping significant wallets anonymous is criminal. This oughta be fun.

As a side benefit, everyone's $50k drawing of a spider NFT should now officially count as available debt payment capital, even though it very obviously isn't.

Shit's gloriously on fire yo.

This is going to provide way more than $50k in entertainment value alone.

Remember a few months ago, when people were fighting back against twitter t-shirt bots (essentially, bots would troll twitter for keywords and phrases like, "I want that on a t-shirt", in response to artists sharing their work. The bots subsequently put up the bootleg t-shirt for sale on Redbubble, etc.) by using copyrighted materials and calling down the wrath of the Disney corporation?

Well, it seems people are now using twitter t-shirt bots to tank the value of NFTs.

It’s time to yell at Discord before they help destroy the planet

Discord’s CEO is on twitter hinting about their apparent future involvement with NFTs/crypto.

Just an FYI/addendum, Dicksword is now offering people free Nitro left right and centre in response to all the Nitro subscriptions cancelled over this crypto debacle.

Yeah they might have misread the room a little there given their core user base is online gaming groups and we mainly experience crypto mining as that bullshit that's stealing all the graphics card upgrades.
