I would say we become more extreme. Acts of togetherness, self-sacrifice, and kindness will be more pronounced and memorable. Just as are acts of... the other sort.

Not to mention the part where you can find yourself being a defendant without ever committing the alleged offense. "Criminal defendant" is some shady ass manipulative language.

So I have a found family daughter, the mechanics of which are that I fell for her mum then she ultimately adopted me by officially switching to my surname on account of her original genetic donor being a big ol' waste of good proteins.

Today she moved out of catering and into the first job on her chosen scientific career path. Message:
