Maybe the 11% of greens that fudged it are like the climate-geology nerds that are into that shit about ice ages being due to the earth's axial precession, eccentricity of orbit, nonplanarity of orbit, relationship to Jupiter's orbit, and so forth

"Gotta play the very long game here. The ice age isn't really over" --nerd

To be fair though at least some of those folks are actively looking for real-time solutions regardless the cause of our current climate confuckery. Otherwise they would probably not be self-identifying with the Greens. As opposed to the few conservative climate believers, who regularly suggest shit like "hey let's knock earth slightly out of orbit so it's farther away from the Sun" and "we just need to let the asteroid hit us next time, it will throw up a cloud of reflective dust and yeah a few million people will die but not all of them".

Bit late, but the margin of error between the Green Party and Bloc Quebecois doesn't look to be that significant, a bit of fluctuation like that can be perfectly expected from a survey sample.

Though obviously one of those entries is well outside the margin of error.

Your periodic reminder that Canada is an awful nation: Remains of 215 children found buried at former B.C. residential school

In case you don't recall, "residential schools" are where indigenous children were taken from their families, deprived of their culture and language, and often tortured and sexually abused.

People are rightly still talking about this, not just in Canada but around the world. Tributes and memorials and such are popping up everywhere and support is being offered to survivors and other affected people as they should.

All I keep thinking is that all the memorials and other conventional stuff are reacting as if this is an especially singular finding. Flags are being flown at half-mast for 215 hours, one for every child found, but they should add a couple zeroes if they really want to be anything close to accurate. Keep 'em down for the rest of the year.

Because this is just one school.

One school where the local tribe had the determination, resources, and specialized help to uncover the extent of the evil others would prefer to let lie.

I have little doubt that there are unassuming patches of ground like this on the site of every former Residential School in the country. This school held records of 50 deaths as it was, and there's no reason to assume that disparity is anything other than an indication of what remains to be found everywhere else.

Yeah, people just do not have any idea of the scale of evil. In general, but also about native genocide.

I just recently found out that my own hometown had it's own miniature trail of tears.

The Nome Cult Trail is a northern Californian historic trail located in present-day Mendocino National Forest which goes along Round Valley Road and through Rocky Ridge and the Sacramento Valley. It is also known as the Konkow Trail of Tears. On 28 August 1863 all Konkow Maidu were to be at the Bidwell Ranch in Chico to be taken to the Round Valley Reservation at Covelo in Mendocino County. Any Indians remaining in the area were to be shot. 435 Maidu were rounded up and marched under guard west out of the Sacramento Valley and through to the Coastal Range. 461 Native Americans started the trek, 277 finished.[2] They reached Round Valley on 18 September 1863.

Tribal members and their descendants tell stories of impatient soldiers using whips on the marchers, shooting anyone trying to escape, and unburdening mothers of their babies, by beating the children against rocks and trees to quicken their pace.

Professor Jesse Dizard, Chair (2018) CSU Chico Department of Anthropology gives the following context:

The Concow Trail of Tears was not an isolated event. Tension between white settlers and Native American communities had been growing for years. The Gold Rush of 1849 brought hundreds of thousands to California, most of them young men who cared very little for the indigenous population and its way of life, or their claims to traditional lands. Indeed, the concept of human rights either did not exist or was strictly reserved for European-Americans. Native Americans were forced from their lands, had their children kidnapped, were forced into indentured servitude, or quite simply were murdered. Retaliatory action from Native Americans was met with swift and often violent retribution.[2]

This shit goes on and on and on and on. And on. And on.

And is still going on, right now. Everywhere.

If you ever wondered what an alien invasion would be like... well, I'm one of the aliens, and probably so are you.

One of the stories that always struck me was the one about how the Puritans came to New England and found what you might call a very well-tended wilderness. There were these beautiful natural orchards and cornfields and such, the kind of ideally perfect "wilderness" you get in a sappy painting you can buy a giclee copy of in a print shop.

That's because those fields and groves HAD been tended, deliberately and by human hands for ease of access and periodic harvesting, for good plant health and lasting fertility; that's what pre-sedentary agriculture looks like. The inhabitants were dead less than a generation prior and this beautiful landscape was in reality a post-apocalyptic wasteland of horror and death.

The Puritans of course assumed everything was just like this naturally, laid out just for them, because they were God's favoured children of course.

There's an Iain M. Banks Culture novel I particularly like, "Excession" (IIRC), where the Culture has to deal with what they refer to as the most dangerous problem a civilization can ever face: An "Outside Context Problem". In this case it was a potential probe from... another universe entirely. Which is interacted with very little - it's very much a story about the actions and reactions of the potentially-colonized and not the probe with is mentioned sparsely and from something of a safe distance.

It is very much a play on the indigenous experience. Not subtly either - the minds, with their vast stores of data quite naturally refer to New World colonization, as well as Pacific Cargo Cults.

That's from the same school for which Ottawa has spent $3.2 million fighting survivors in court over exact compensation costs since 2013.

Because if there's one thing humans are willing to put a lot of time and effort and money into, it's arguing about how much money they owe to the families and kids that they tortured and invited visiting dignitaries to watch and laugh.

This is in response to the Ryerson statue, but really this reply is relevant against so many of those huffy defenders of ignoble monuments.

"The people you seek to judge" is an interesting way to refer to Nazis and Slavers and Child Torturers, Murderers, and Rapists

we all have our flaws, after all :)

Vice: QAnons Are Harassing People at the Whim of a Woman They Say Is Canada’s Queen

Not linking the wacknut site for obvious reasons, but the copy is Something Else.

Finally, Canada has been appointed a new anti-globalist, anti-NWO, anti-CCP, anti-PLA leader by the US military and white hat military alliance (Federation Command Forces & Allied Forces) to save the Canadians from the ongoing tyrannical government forced COVID restrictions and genetic biowarfare experimental injections being administered across the country to children as young as 12.

Romana Didulo is believed to be the first publicly announced installment or appointee as part of the ongoing covert worldwide military operation to remove all involved in crimes against humanity including any Luciferian CEOs, elites, Freemasons, Jesuits, leaders, and politicians. Simultaneously, Romana refers to Canada as a Sovereign Republic which demonstrates separation from the monarchy/commonwealth and the beginning of the transition of worldwide leaders to the future QFS (Quantum Financial System) NESARA/GESARA government. It is also theorized that Romana's installment may be an attempt to see how the deep state cabal reacts while acting as a trial run for all of the countries in the world that must also be saved from tyrannical cabal controlled governments.

Romana Didulo is the Founder and Leader of the Canada 1st Party of Canada (as per their official website) who made her initial public debut on November 9, 2020 on the Canada 1st Party of Canada official YouTube channel with the following video. Around the same time the Canada 1st Party of Canada also launched their official Facebook page.

Romana Didulo shared the following video on her official Telegram where she explains that the Canadian Armed forces received email confirmation of her authority as Head of State and Commander-in-Chief, Head of Government of Canada, and Queen of Canada on May 27, 2021 from the Commander-in-Chief of US Armed Forces. Specifically, stating that Crab Juice is not the president of the USA as the US Armed Forces have been in control of the USA since January 14, 2021. Imagine the repercussions and immediate action the US Armed Forces, Federation Command Forces, and Allied Forces would have taken if everything Romana has said so far was a farce.

In the following clip, Romana addresses the experimental unapproved COVID injections and vaccines being administered as eugenics, depopulation and genetic biowarfare. She Explicitly states how important it is for We The People to protect our children and loved ones from these poisonous injections. Romana then asks us to take the following Cease & Desist Order (under natural and common law) she has created for us and serve it to all entities continuing to administer these COVID injections, fraudulent PCR tests, forced masking, tyrannical lockdowns, communist quarantines, and unscientific closures. After serving these orders Romana has created groups on Telegram for each province requesting that we report entities continuing to violate the Cease & Desist Order so the Armed Forces can take action and execute all complicit in crimes against humanity.

On June 3, 2021 @ 12:53 AM Romana Didulo notified her audience on her official Telegram:

You are now the Police/Law Enforcements Officers when you sign my C & D Order as, "We The People"

The above cease and desist order can be directly downloaded here as a PDF or ZIP or you can save the above images directly to your camera roll or computer hard drive. You can then issue these via email, fax, mail, or in person addressed to CEOs, Presidents, Owners, and Directors alike ensuring to sign them of as "We The People."

Hmmm... I wonder if Geddy Lee is a full-on right-wing wacko now.

I'm sure I don't actually want to know.

Neil Peart, at least, backed off the Ayn Rand stuff later in life. Don't know about Lee.

Yeah, Neil Peart was a decent guy and that interview is pretty emblematic. He really endured a lot of rough shit, losing his entire family, among other things, but you always saw him growing and changing and learning and trying to be positive, never static. That's not really a personality that would have supported Objectivisim as a lifelong ethos.

The latest episode of Canada being horrible to indigenous peoples features Carolyn Bennett attempting to cram every foot in the Liberal caucus into her mouth at once.

Could somebody just upend a garbage can over Bennett and then kick her down the stairs in it, cartoon-style, please? Like, holy shit, wow.
