If anything, non-Americans have even more cause to be nervous about today than us.

I mean, though I won't preclude the possibility that Trump nukes his own country, it's less likely.

My post is an opinion though, not a demand made at gunpoint.

And it would be better for most of them if they didn't vote. The guys they'll vote for don't exactly have their interests at heart.

Florida just passed a law that ex felons can vote after they get out of prison now. This restored voting rights to 40 percent of the state's black male population. The next election in Florida has the potential to be groundbreaking.

Ducey got reelected.

We've just gutted the Clean Elections Commission; all its rules now require approval from a governor-appointed panel. This passed because the description of the ballot prop was pretty much a lie.

On the plus side, the prop to expand school vouchers got struck down.

Senate race still too close to call.

Went to bar. Wife drove, so I got to drink beers that I don't normally drink because I can't drive when I drink them. The King-Size Candy Bar was quite good; the Trippel was disappointing. Should have gone with the Oatwine.

Ultimately, the results of this election are within expected parameters. Disappointing, but could have been a lot worse. Democratic House, so hey, at least that's something. Looking forward to subpoenas against Trump and cronies. Hope Democrats' takeaway is "hey, those progressives did way better than we expected" instead of "hey, those progressives lost; that means we need to be more conservative." Also it'd be nice for Democrats to kick Schumer to the curb, but I don't see that happening.

Expect Republicans to try and ram something really nasty through using budget reconciliation during the lame-duck session.

I wonder how long Wisconsin is going to hold out with Michigan getting all that new weed money right next door.

If any state could use a toke, it's Michigan.

Also, speaking of Wisconsin.... shiiiiiit that is one tight race. Less than 10,000 votes difference. There's gonna be a fight lasting weeks for sure.

GA also looks close, but not close enough. God knows how much of that we can attribute to Kemp's massive suppression campaign.

Locally I have seen so much, "Now Michigan is going to fix their roads and our terrible roads will look even worse by contrast" bullshit I love it.

Apperently Milwaukee has like 50000 absentee ballots "unaccounted for" in a County that went more than 64 percent for Evers... here's hoping.

They looked at Beto. Then they looked at Cruz. Then they looked back at Beto. Then they looked back at Cruz. And then they pulled the lever for Senator Blobfish. Just try and convince me that Republicans wouldn't vote for Satan himself if he had an (R) next to his name.

Looks like Iowa's okay with Nazis, at least of the Steve King variety. Again, I wonder if voters are stupid, evil, or both.

I wonder how Maine is going to turn out. Mad at them for letting LePage get termed out instead of voted out. But ranked voting? I liked the idea when I first heard of it, and then I heard about it on Radiolab. If it's anything like they say, it could change everything. But this is America we're talking about; you can count on us to do the right thing... after exhausting all possible alternatives.

And not surprising that Kemp won; he certainly pulled out all the stops. Still, explain to me again why we didn't just let the South fuck off and secede?

Feeling the same going out as I did going in: I can no longer trust people with sharp objects, never mind the vote.

Walker and the GOP state lawmakers are the reason you can only do a recount if its closer than 1 percent by the way. This is so fucking perfect.
