i'll point out the opposite of trusting everyone is believing everyone is equally unreliable and there's no point in taking sides

and the opposite of that is believing only youtube vloggers hold the truth

I mean, it's really not. The opposite of automatically believing everything expressed by a capital-letter Authority Figure is automatically questioning everything Authority Figures feed you, which means critical thinking and independent research.

There's no point in taking sides when the sides presented to you are "Lose both your eyes" and "Lose one eye and blind the other."
