So, now that all the financial figures are in and all the accounting's been done, 2020 - the year of Brexit - was revealed as the sharpest annual economic contraction for the UK since the Great Frost of 1709.

(to be fair, the British economy did however recover most of the way in 2021, but still)

Wow, that theme song manages to be creepier than Every Breath You Take.

As foretold by the prophecy.

"And the meek shall weep, and the poor shall freeze, and the lords and ladies shall laugh. But out of the darkness shall come a new King, and King not of this world of men but elsewhere, and the lords and ladies shall contest his crown, but lo, their voices shall be in vain, as no rule exists to prevent his rise."

I've seen some fun variations on "UK press scandalized that national anthem has changed its pronouns", too.

No way I'm standing in line for hours to see any coffin that doesn't have a Dracula in it

Yeah this shows how absolutely obsessed with their fucking racists the Brits are. Like okay she was racist for a long time, the longest time of any racist, in fact. But nobody in their right mind would stand in a line for that long, no matter how racist the racist was.

Have a parade or whatever, have a day of appreciation for your world record longest alive racist. Whatever. This is nuts and speaks, objectively, to your shared cultural love of racism.

My first though on seeing the headline "LIVE: Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral takes place at Westminster Abbey in London." was "Uh, I'm pretty sure, she's not, guys."

Judge me however you will.

Charles is already trying to out-racist her, by refusing to shake hands of any black person in the queue.
