Ramza's at critical, Wanda just got pulled off the deck by Wiegraf. Time to switch from huge flashy Black Magic to White Magic. Namely, y'know, Curaja.

Image
The dogpiling continues. There's a bit of risk in having everyone crowd around and smack Ultima, since there's no telling what sort of magic she's got from the randomizer. Eh, how bad could it be?

Image
So, let's talk about Almagest.

Or Ultimagest, I suppose. It's still the caster's maximum HP minus their current HP, or all the damage they've taken already. Ultima has like 3000 HP in this form. Remember how Adrammalech used it and it kinda sucked because he has more than 1000 HP and I'm limited to 999?

Image
The only way I can hit Ultima safely is to start my turn next to her, hit, then Teleport to the other side of the map. If she's somewhere else, I have to move in close to do any damage, and that means dogpiling. That's not a good strategy.

Image
Only Wanda has the kind of range to strike from particularly far away, and she's on Curaja duty.

Image
It do be like that sometimes. Every time Ultima moves, at least one person dies.

Image
I'm hitting for really good damage, though, so I can probably wrap this up real quick...

Image
Uh... any hit now...

Image
Reis, please wrap this up.

Image

Image
...this is fine.

Image
Come on, die already. It's not like I have any way to finish this fight other than doing a shitton of HP damage and taking every Ultimagest on the chin, since Ultima does it every goddamn t--

--urn.

Image
This is taking so long I have to take the big risk of having my two people who can revive others stand next to each other so that Wiegraf can restore Wanda's MP.

whew

Finally.

In a very appropriate finishing touch, Ramza officiates his own funeral, attended by Orlandu, Kletienne, Duke Barrington, Vormav, Vormav, Vormav, and Vormav.

That's all for this LP, folks. If I do another run I'll talk about any interesting notes, but I don't think I'll be documenting any more from start to finish.
