Let's all go to the movies~
Re: Let's all go to the movies~
First time I've seen a movie so video-gamey that it uses actual video game despawning rules.

Still looks better than the last two.

Before I could read any text I immediately recognized the second picture as WoW related, but not the first.

in order to be 100% accurate he would need to be in a jungle and there's an undead rogue 30+ levels above him directly behind him spamming the /spit emote

Ant-Man is good. I'd say up there in the same league as Iron-Man 1 or Avengers 1 good, even, although it's not quite as good as either of those. Still, it's in that league. You can definitely still see some of the Edgar Wright influences in it.
Re: Let's all go to the movies~
Yeah, just saw it, and I'd agree. You can so absolutely tell which parts are Wright and which parts are the other clown. Thankfully, most of the generic Avengers-universe tie-in bullshit is done all in one go, in the middle. It's just awkwardly shoved in there and it sucks, then it moves on.
Rudd is way, way better cast than I expected. I liked him a lot in this role.
The ant army stuff was probably the highlight. Everything he did with the ants I adored.
I loved the finale to death. What a great action scene.

I have to say, though, my favorite scene was probably the tank keychain bit.
Also fun, casual Spider-Man reference

I think that rightly got the biggest reaction from the crowd. So good.

I forget where I saw this but I copied it into a note on my phone:
"in the warcraft movie i want there to be this big dramatic battle scene, and in the middle there's just an archer, standing amidst the chaos, firing arrows, and all the solidiers around him are fighting and stumbling and dying and there's just this close up of the archer's face, and he's all calm and focused, just chilling there shooting away, and faintly you just hear the screams of the soldiers around him like "PACK!!!!!!! ASPECT OF THE PACK!!!!!!! TURN PACK OFF!!!!!! HUNTER!!!!!!"
Re: Let's all go to the movies~
thanks, I needed that laugh.

Ant-Man is indeed good. It reminded me a lot of Iron Man 1, in a good way.
(The plots are basically the same, except they don't actually create the suit in the movie.)

It has Adam Sandler. You deserve exactly what you get for watching it.

The only list longer than all the times that story has been told it's the reasons an attempt to recreate the original would fail miserably.
I legitimately can't think of a comparable franchise that would need to replace loony toons for anyone of this generation to care.

Pretty sure site traffic to http://www.warnerbros.com/archive/space ... ie/jam.htm would actually decline if they overwrote it.
