I'm not sure what it is about it... That sort of thing is often very much my bag (I mean I have just about every Moebius book published and there's certainly some overlap there at least), but KSBD never hooked me, I don't know quite why, and it's not like I'm going to try again just for the sake of figuring out why.

It might not change your mind, but the author says he'd prefer the fight scenes to be read all at once, instead of waiting a week for each exquisitely detailed page to come out.

I couldn't tell why I like KSBD because frankly there's no comparison: there's no other Cultural Product trying to make every page look like a mix of Hindu religious appropriation, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and a heavy metal album cover.

To be fair, I've read it from the beginning to current, and I still can't tell you whether I like it or not.
But also I am still reading it, because I need to know whether it's actually worth reading or not.
How fleeting are all human passions compared with the massive continuity of ducks.

Ava's Demon is updating again and it's still the prettiest thing ever put to digital paper.

Thread/Nitter mirror: T Kingfisher makes a comic around AI-generated backgrounds.

It's fascinating stuff -- as she notes, the format is extremely restrictive (she explains the impossible architecture and lack of consistency from panel to panel by setting this story in a dream world), but it makes for an interesting Weird Shit writing prompt.

Wow, Vattu has finished after 12 years over at rice-boy.com. I'm having trouble thinking of a good webcomic that finished so tidily, especially one running so long.

Holy shit, I love it. It's too perfect.

The increasing certainty that Columbo will be passed down to future generations is somehow very reassuring.

Yeah it's a tweet thread and that sucks, but this goes to some very strange places.

i don't know why it made me laugh myself stupid when someone brought up Mrs. Columbo on a podcast recently and their guest just matter of factly deadpanned "What, was it just Peter Faulk in a pink hair bow?"
