I'm not sure what it is about it... That sort of thing is often very much my bag (I mean I have just about every Moebius book published and there's certainly some overlap there at least), but KSBD never hooked me, I don't know quite why, and it's not like I'm going to try again just for the sake of figuring out why.
It might not change your mind, but the author says he'd prefer the fight scenes to be read all at once, instead of waiting a week for each exquisitely detailed page to come out.
I couldn't tell why I like KSBD because frankly there's no comparison: there's no other Cultural Product trying to make every page look like a mix of Hindu religious appropriation, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and a heavy metal album cover.
