Content warning: Jack talks about killing Nazis; it gets a little graphic.

Evanier has set up a YouTube channel and has some live videos planned -- starting with one at 7 o'clock tonight (Pacific), with videos to follow tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday at the same time. (ETA: The guest on Wednesday will be Sergio Aragones, Thursday will be Shelly Goldstein, and Friday will be Bill Kirchenbauer.) And then on Saturday:

He says he's planning on saving the Saturday video and making it available to watch later, but that he hasn't decided yet whether he'll do that with the others or not.

Sergio Aragones is a national treasure.

Multiple nations' treasure, in fact, as evidently there's a biography published in Mexico, focusing on his early life, called Sergio antes de Aragones. It doesn't sound like it's available in English.

ETA: the thing you get from watching this live is seeing who shows up in the chat. Floyd Norman. Dick DeBartolo. Sergio and Mark's collaborators on Groo, colorist Tom Luth and letterer Stan Sakai (who, not for nothin', also writes, draws, and letters a little comic called Usagi Yojimbo). Ruben Bolling was one of several people (including me) who asked about Sergio Aragones Funnies and whether we'll ever see a followup or at least a collection, but Mark didn't pass any of those questions on to Sergio so I'm guessing the answer is probably boring ("I don't know, I've thought about it but nothing's come of it").

My all time favourite Mark-Sergio interaction is in the opening pages of a (IIRC) Groo book, where comic book Sergio tells comic book Mark "You do comic or I tell whole world you wrote for Bay City Rollers!"

My favorite variation on that joke was one of Marks blog posts, which went something like "What's the appeal of owning a private island, anyway? I like being able to drive to places and get things I want. I guess there's the privacy and the solitude, but if I wanted that I'd just tell people I wrote the first appearance of Scrappy-Doo."

I have no idea why this came up as a recommended video following Yoji's LIVE AND LET DIE Trump video, but man is this great. Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman!
