I know this is totally another case of "MONGREL IS OLD"

but like... I really did watch the shit out of this as a kid. Came on with Spider-man (which reuses some of the animation in later seasons!) and there really is no more stirring kids show anthem. BLAST OFF!

I actually searched for a long time to try and figure out who made the song, but the only surviving records attributes the music to a company (or session group?) named "Synchro Sound".

Also, though they seem to have been thoroughly DMCAed off of YouTube, please pretend that the Lupin III (Red Jacket - '78) and Baccano! openings were also posted.

Oh fuck yeah.

But if you're going to invoke Gerry Anderson, they had no shortage of bust out intros.

There's a really good version of the Joe 90 theme too, much punchier than the one up on the Gerry Adams channel, but it doesn't seem to be up on YouTube.

The House of Cards theme song is the reason I kept watching the show long after I was into it.

I got one for Friday too.

This was one of the very first anime my brother and I were really into since up here it came on with all the other "Saturday morning" cartoons. It's so fucking cheesy and low-budget but who gives a shit because Cowboy Voltron fuckin rocks.

To this day I'm still like "HE HAS A FUCKIN COWBOY HAT BUILT INTO HIS FUCKIN HELMET GET THE FUCK OUT HOW FUCKIN COOL IS THAT."

thanks mongrel that was amazing and just the kind of stupid nonsense i would have loved as a kid

to explain the post from esper

a long time ago, back before esper broke his hand and trump fucked up the planet and society forever, we used to play 2v2 starcraft online against randoms

and i would have music playlists playing in the background

and one time small two pf pieces came on and i was singing along and i decided to type it out because i love that song

and esper just fucking types out and completes the verse and blows my mind

turns out he's a huge Mitsuda Yasunori nerd also

Everything else about it aside, The Mandalorian has a damn good theme. Episode-Specific-Spoiler-free version:
