Re: Hot game deals
Horizon: Zero Dark Thirty was exactly what it needed to be. It's an ubisoft open-world game where each of the main activities is only repeated like 6 times, there's a lot of hand crafted side quests, and the actual combat mechanics are fun.
The DLC gets to be a little much, since it's basically trying to double the original content, but I still went back in for a higher difficulty NG+ after 100% normal just to get more of the experience. And I don't normally do that.

Yeah, I ended up getting the platinum on Horizon and its DLC. The gameplay loop got me in a way Ubisoft stuff never managed.
Re: Hot game deals
itch.io has a TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas bundle on.
I'm not much of a tabletop gamer and I'm not familiar with any of these, but it's for a good cause, and there is a game called Jonathan Frakes Wants Your Attention, And You Must Not Give It To Him and that made me laugh.

Re: Hot game deals
Humble has its own Stand with Ukraine bundle. $40 minimum. "100% of the proceeds will go to Razom for Ukraine, International Rescue Committee, International Medical Corps, and Direct Relief."
Re: Hot game deals
Looks like there's a big Square Enix sale on on Steam and Humble, and various smaller ones on the Switch and PlayStation stores.
On the PC side, it looks like a lot of games that used to have Denuvo don't anymore.

Re: Hot game deals
Also, speaking of Shantae there's a Shantae sale on Switch, too. I think the whole series is 50% off, plus various DLC is on sale too?

Re: Hot game deals
GOG is advertising "Daggerfall FOR FREE" -- hasn't Daggerfall been free for like 15 years?
Anyway Shantae's still free too.

For those who've been waiting for the Steam release of FF7 Remake, it's here and it's temporarily on sale for "only" $50. No third-party DRM, and it's Steam Deck Verified, so that's pretty cool even if the price point isn't.
Re: Hot game deals
i mean given what they charge for a 30 year old game that is a pretty great price point for a two year old game
Re: Hot game deals
i always heard pretty good things about dragon's dogma and anyway if you are like me and are interested in checking it out it's less than 5 bucks basically everywhere right now
