Manual Samuel free at Humble.

Or it's supposed to be. Does these giveaways fail as often for other people as they do for me? I just get a neverending progress GIF in Firefox, and Chromium says there's an error processing my payment.

If you've got Cities: Skylines on your Steam account, you can get the Parklife DLC free, but it takes a few steps: you have to sign up for a Paradox account, subscribe to their newsletter, confirm your email address, and then link your Paradox account to your Steam account.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 free-to-keep on various platforms until May 10, though the deal hasn't gone live everywhere yet (it's free on Steam but as of this writing still shows $12.99 on the PlayStation Store (ETA it's free on the PlayStation Store now too)).

Total War: Shogun 2 is going to be available free-to-keep from April 27 through May 4 (Monday-Monday).

(ETA: Updated dates -- giveaway ends Monday, not Friday; not sure if the original post has been changed or I just copied it incorrectly -- and the deal is now live on Steam.)

Bunch of freebies over at GOG too.

And there's a Golden Week sale on at Humble, where a bunch of Japanese games are marked down. Heavy on Capcom, Nippon Ichi, Nihon Falcom, and Idea Factory.

Total Annihilation: Commander Pack free today on GOG. Includes the main game and both expansion packs.

Other free games on GOG, including something called War Wind from 1996. Don't know whether it's good or not, but it's free, so it's infinitely good value.

So, here's an absurdly good deal: The Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, a 742-game bundle for pay-what-you-want, with a minimum of $5. (via PC Gamer)

It's also a charity bundle:
proceeds from the bundle will go to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the Community Bail Fund in support of the anti-racist, anti-police brutality protests calling for justice around the world today.

So, you know, if you think it's a good cause then now you can donate to it and incidentally also stock up on vidja for the rest of your life (or at least a few days). I'd guess that a lot of those 742 games are gonna be stuff no one has ever heard of (probably deservedly so a lot of times), but there's no way you wouldn't get your money's worth and then some.

Note that the justice bundle does not automatically add itself to your library (they're working on that as an option but didn't want to flood everybody) and has its own UI at https://itch.io/bundle/download/aOeXlTM ... q_UoFPRYM2

Note also that Glittermitten Grove is included. IE: Frog Fractions II aka Super ZZT Gaiden (although some people really liked the throwaway game they wrapped around it, so they went into full support and expansion mode on that too, because it's Twinbeard so of course they did)

I really want to try Wheels of Aurelia. It looks stylish as anything and is Extremely Italian and Extremely 70's.

The bundle also includes Cat Game!

Mostly what it needs atm is a random game lever, the current web interface is massively unfair to the stuff in the bottom half of the list.

I remember 2064: Read Only Memories being definitely worth a go, it's a very charming little Asimovian point & click SF adventure, kinda like Snatcher without the freaky objectification. We probably need a recommendations thread for this collection.

It's now a 1,429 item bundle.

Among the included items are Celeste, Minit, Hex Kit (a D&D mapmaking tool), Pico-8, the soundtracks to Super Meat Boy and Binding of Isaac, a pack of Touhou fangames, some niche tabletop RPGs, and various game dev tools and asset packs.

DriveThruRPG is also doing a NAACP Legal Defense Fund Bundle, which is some 60 tabletop RPG products for $10. I'm not familiar with any of the products. DM's Guild also has some bundles.

Is this now the greatest game bundle deal ever?

I know that actually calculating that would be a nightmare, but I'm seriously thinking it might just be.

Okay, forget the thread. We need a whole other forum to review this thing on.

Meanwhile John Walker has made a start on that. https://buried-treasure.org/2020/06/her ... ter-bundle

The itch.io bundle is now a 1,658 item bundle, with three days to go.

You know, in case $5 for only 1,429 games wasn't quite good enough value.

The bundle includes Pyre! This is that fantasy basketsoccer game from the makers of Bastion and Transistor. While the sports game itself is serviceable enough, the macrostructure of deciding which of your players get to leave exile (and how this will impact their personal journies versus the sociopolitical goals of your group) made this incredibly compelling and tragically overshadowed by the earlier titles from that developer.

The itch.io bundle's done, but there's a Fight for Racial Justice bundle at Humble now. $30 minimum to get the bundle (though if you want to just donate money and don't care about the rewards, you can offer any amount you want), 100% goes to charity (NAACP LDF, Race Forward, the Bail Project), includes games, books, comics. (I've been meaning to check out Prince of Cats; there was an excerpt in Dark Horse Presents some years back and I dug it.)
