Anyone still playing D3? I love the Necro but the game needs some fresh content, what ever that may be.

Nope. /r/Diablo has been in despair for a while too. IIRC, no one is expecting D4 or new D3 content at Blizzcon.

As stated previously, Diablo 3 is getting it's best balance patch, ever, and just recently got a new class to play.

The reason everyone is in "despair" is because they don't have anything to announce at Blizzcon.

The Necromancer was a success, they'll do more class packs. Speculation is Druid next.

Diablo was going to go into maintenance mode if the Necro pack didn't sell well. If anything, Diablo fans dodged a huge, content ending bullet just a few months ago. Bemoaning the fact that Blizzard has nothing to announce at Blizzcon about Diablo is missing the point.

Seriously. There's been more activity on Diablo from the devs in the last 6 months than all 2.5 years before that combined. This is like if the (hypothetical not Trump) President announced free healthcare, free college, a complete dismantling of all nuclear weapons worldwide, and realistic sex robots, but then didn't really have any good news to follow that at the State of the Union.

of course I'm not a Blizzard deep cover agent hired in 2002 to infiltrate this forum, gain your trust, and then shill their products

Before my motherboard melted in August, Diablo 3 was in my top three most-played Blizzard games of the summer!

Ha ha, yes, I see what you did there. But no, the winning selection would have been Hearthstone and Overwatch.

Everyone has a *that* game, it's good practice for our eternity in purgatory.

Even with all of the other competitors on the market, I feel like Diablo 3 on consoles is probably the best one of these out there. My criteria at this point is just controller support and how good it feels to just mulch everything on screen, and Diablo 3 performs well on both ends.

I've been playing Grim Dawn with Patito and Nodal lately, and it has okay controller support. The only problem is that it has a lot of parts that need polish, like the fact that garbage terrain blocks projectiles constantly and moving through some corridors takes a lot of work. The combat and skill trees are okay, but I feel like theres a lot of room for more ridiculous stuff that isn't there. I could have just picked a bad class pairing, but that's kind of the games fault in my opinion.

Man that's pretty huge. I recall getting cockblocked on multiple seasons by not finding a perfect rorg.

I somehow managed to not get into D3 at all at any point past the original demo, but I think I ended up with a complete version on PS4. JUST PUTTING IT OUT THERE.

Almost 7 years of adding itemization and players only have 5-10 10-15 tabs depending on how far past season 4 you burnt out.

I never did give the necromancer enough time, and I loved it on HotS. There's just never enough time, though

I just want to pop in here to say that if you're tired of Diablo III, but find PoE unsatisfying for whatever reason, I HIGHLY recommend Grim Dawn. It just got a new expansion, and frankly I recommend it all. It has many excellent systems that are unique to it.
