How about we aim for Sep. 28th around 8:30e? That's Jackbox time but on Wednesday.

We should all still be friends on steam but if not, I'm lottelguy on there.

I've had more experience with the new TF2 stuff and setup and "teaming" up with friends is an icon on the top left of the home screen, which adds you all on a team/voice chat and prioritizes putting everyone on the same team and same server.
I've also created a server and it seems it worked well, from my minor testing.

As far as worrying about new items, very few of them have changed the game in any way other than the pyro now has a jetpack item no one uses as it eats up your ammo and damages you. I've gone back and very few items that weren't cosmetics or tweaks were actually added since we all stopped.
The brobdingnagiest change will be maps, but you can just only play on old maps.

Just tested it out, and VAC didn't like something that my PC was doing, until I restarted and it worked fine. Connected to a few custom and official servers and nothing needed noticeable extra downloads.

Video games with friends is fun. Especially after the warm up when we moved setvers.

nah we were getting spawncamped but then the teams autobalanced or scrambled or something.

Pretty sure they thought someone was hacking but whether it was us, or that other guy they votekicked, who knows?

--I've forgotten what most of the buttons do, especially things with more than 2 options, like engie PDA, yeah that was me with the backwards tele
--I forgot the layouts of pretty much every map that's not Garbage Day or harvest or 2fort so I'm worse than useless as spy, engie, or sniper
--I'm merely useless as everything else
--Whenever I shift-tab to chat or bring up the teamchat window, the game auto resets my mouse sensitivity to max, so I get disoriented and waste ubers, spray the ceiling with bullets, run into sentry nests, and fall off ledges when I try to do anything before manually fixing my settings
--Watching niku nail people with the huntsman or facestab as spy is rather satisfying (unless it's me, of course then f that guy)

Had a delightful game, we should do some kinda private server next time, that way we don't have to futz with the TF2 party system. Would love getting more people on voice too.

I love how this game is still as purely fun and satisfying as it ever was.
