Hey, gonna be stepping away again.
There's a bit from the ending of The Good Place (which is a fantastic show) that I'll crib here. I was familiar with this concept before but I think it was expressed very well in the ending of the show.
You're at the beach and you're looking out over the ocean. You see a wave coming in. You can see that wave, you can measure it, chart its height and speed. It exists as a wave. Then it crashes onto the beach and is gone. The wave is gone, but the water remains.
We're all waves coming to crash onto the beach. But we're also all part of the same water. I will continue my little philosophical thing I started with trying to answer Kazz's question: I think now, if he asked me, I'd say the reason we're here is to help each other.
We're here to make life more bearable, to bring joy and happiness and love into each others lives. We're all connected to each other and we have to acknowledge that no matter what you personally believe about life or religion. I have tried in my clumsy way to bring joy into your lives by shitposting and making wolf games and lists and everything else I did here. I hope I could interest you for a little bit and make your lives less dull by doing so. I want you all to know that each of you has done the same for me, no question. This place has been a definite source of good in my life and I really appreciate you all for that. It's really amazing to me that people who live hundreds or even thousands of miles away from me can be this important to me, but here we are.
I hope one day I will be in the headspace to come back. I would really love it if someday we could all go to Hawaii and meet up in my dream Brontocon, and make stupid jokes while we play videogames and sing in karaoke bars. I'll hold that in my mind because that's how I want to remember you all.
Please take care of yourselves and each other. That's all we have, really.

I... can't tell if this is "goodbye for now" or "goodbye for reals." That metaphor has me worried.
Probably too early to tell, but probably not a bad idea to keep the beacon lit with pictures of cats and/or goth girls just in case.
